Chapter 6: The First Meal in the Village
(In the busy village square, Xiao Feng looked around. Wooden stalls, kids playing, the smell of spices and cooking smoke everywhere.)
đ "Linshan Village... looks calm, but I'm sure it won't stay that way."
đ Gu Lang (yawning):
â Can we just get to the food already? My stomach's growling!
đ Xiao Feng (smiling):
â Hold on, buddy. First, we gotta find a good spot.
(They entered a small tavern. The sign read: "Spicy Tiger Tavern." Inside, people were eating and making noise.)
đ Xiao Feng (to the owner):
â Two bowls of something hot and filling.
đ Owner (a chubby man with messy hair):
â New faces, huh? You got money?
đ Gu Lang (grinning):
â He cooks, I talk. We pay with food or fists!
(The owner laughed and told them to sit.)
đ Owner:
â Alright, kid. Show me what you got.
(Xiao Feng stepped into the small, smoky kitchen. No fancy tools â just old pots and dusty spices.)
đ "Real test. Good. Time to make something that blows minds but tastes good."
(He grabbed wild onions, chili powder, and a strange smoky root.)
(The stew boiled and the spicy smell spread. Curious villagers gathered around.)
đ Villager 1:
â What's that smell? Poison or miracle?
đ Villager 2:
â My nose says miracle, my stomach says hurry up and serve!
(Xiao Feng poured the steaming red stew into two bowls and handed one to Gu Lang.)
đ Gu Lang (sniffing):
â If I die eating this, at least I die full and happy.
(He took a bite, eyes wide.)
đ Gu Lang:
â It's spicy!! But... it's awesome!
(The crowd clapped and cheered.)
đ Owner (surprised):
â You got golden hands, boy. Wanna stay here?
đ Xiao Feng:
â Just passing through. Thanks though.
đ "Maybe strength isn't just fighting. Maybe it's making something people remember."
