Chapter 3 - Banished from heaven

Back in the forest, Old Hal could be seen covering the young angel's unconscious body with the rope he wore, leaving only the plain shirt and black trouser he wore beneath it. And after making sure everything was perfect, he carried him on his shoulder and made his way out of the forest.

In order to avoid drawing attention, he asked a skinny looking guard to fetch him a carriage to continue his journey with, when he got to the gate of the nearest town. The guard sized him up and down, finding it weird Old Hal was returning the same day he entered the forest, which was unlike him, and more surprisingly, the unconscious body been carried on his shoulder, because he clearly saw Old Hal moving out of the town gate into the forest alone, but here he comes with someone on his shoulder.

But that was it, after the initial surprise, he totally ignored Old Hal pretending not to hear about his request. But that soon changed after he saw Old Hal reaching out for two gold coins in his pouch. He swiftly reach out of the coins from Old Hal's hand, gave his colleague a knowingly look and took off.

Some time later, he could be seen approaching with a two horsed carriage which could carry two people at max. Old Hal dropped the unconscious body at one side of the carriage and made his way to the way to the other side.

He instructed the carriage driver," take me to the capital!" after making himself comfortable in the carriage, and the carriage took off to Elyria.

After some time of traveling from town to town, Old Hal reached his ordinary-looking house, which stood out among the rows of grand buildings in the capital. Immediately, he took out the unconscious man and started moving towards his house after paying for his ride. He could feel heads turning towards him, and the people murmuring as always about how mysterious he was, due to no one knowing about his cultivation level, as if he never cultivated in the first place but always found ways to survive and slay beasts in the forest, but more importantly, about the identity of the young man his is carrying.

"Mortals never mind their own business, always poking their noses into that of others," he muttered, while opening the lock on his gate and entering the building.

After entering the building, he took the body to an empty room on the upper floor, drew some intricate symbols on the floor that lit up as he drew them with the stick, and placed the unconscious body within the marked area. "All done," he thought, "I just have to wait for him to wake up. With these runes in place, he won't be able to try anything funny, and I'll be notified immediately he wakes." With that, he made his way out of the room.

Later that night, Old Hal was woken by a sudden chill in the room, signaling the angel's awakening. He rushed upstairs to find the angel awake, struggling against the unyielding runes. "I knew you'd try to break free," Old Hal said menacingly, approaching the angel. "Your kind is known for their unparalleled strength, but it looks like you're barely making an effort to release your self . Did the fall drain your powers?' The angel's hazy eyes strained against the binding shackles, veins bulging with effort, yet he couldn't move an inch.

"Now, before I decide your fate, answer me this; what is an angel doing in the mortal realm?' Old Hal bellowed, his voice causing ripples in the protective shield around his house. The angel, still straining against the runes, didn't flinch. "You want it that way? So be it,' Old Hal snarled, a menacing hanger sword materializing in his hand. But before anything, the angel finally ceased his futile struggles and turned to face him, asking, "What is a demon also doing in the mortal realm?", causing Old Hal to pause in his track.

Oh, so you sensed me? I give you credit, not many can detect my concealment. Guess you're a special one. But that doesn't answer my question about what you are doing here?' Old Hal bombarded him with more questions. Are you alone, or are there others? What are your rulers planning?"

"What if I don't answer?' the angel retorted, his face devoid of fear. 'Oh, you think I'm powerless to extract information from your mind?' Old Hal replied mockingly. 'I wanted to spare myself the trouble, hoping you'd realize your situation and cooperate. Trust me, after extracting information myself, you'd be as good as dead.' The angel's expression changed, a flicker of concern crossing his face. He had been trying with all his might to summon his divine powers to break free, but to no avail – as if what Old Hal said about his powers being drained by the fall was true.

"It was nothing like what you asked", the angel answered. As Old Hal pressed him to continue, his face darkened, his eyes turning white with crimson flickers dancing across the pupils like a wave crashing on a treacherous shore."

He told Old Hal that he only remembered being banished from the Heaven Realm, Valhalla by his own family, and having his divine abilities and powers sealed, but didn't know why it happened nor could he remember the details.

Old Hal obviously did not believe him, but after using the name of the Ruler's throne in the heavenly realm, Old Hal finally believed his words, because he knew how sacred the throne was to the angels, not even the angels rebelling against their own kind would dare spill lies in the name of the thrown, it was the same as challenging the might of the mother of the universe, and not even death could save you.

"Heh, smirked Old Hal, so you are telling me you were abandoned by your own family and had no idea about the reason , sealed of your divinities and powers, and worst of all, you were found and captured by a demon, your mortal enemy?, hahahaa, I can't believe what I am seeing, remarked Old Hal amusingly.

"What is your name? asked Old Hal, and when he heard the answer, he nearly laughed his stomach out. "Your name is Lucien?, as in Lucifer? hahahaaa , what in this world am I hearing?, you were banished from the heaven realm, Valhalla, to the mortal realm like Lucifer, and you even have a name similar to that of Lucifer? I guess you really owe the goddess of fate an apology, or I don't know what would happen next.

But before Old Hal could get caught up in the irony of the situation, he heard a sentence he never thought he'd hear in millions of years.
