Doctor : "Wait what how is she still sigh okay so she 5 broke ribs 3 puncuered he longs the others grazed her heart she has a concussion and a lot of other injuries." The Doctor sighs as his assistants finish setting up the surgery area he takes his scalpel as he got a Task from his system.
System: Save Amila reward a queen in your debut punishment for failure obsession and hatred punishment for not completing this mission being called a pusy buy you colleagues and not attempting to do your job and fulfill the oath you took when becoming a surgeon
As the Doctor saw this prompt in his system as many problems as this may as well later cause him as the system had mentioned when he became a surgeon he took an oath and more specifically a version of the Hippocratic Oath.
Doctor thoughts: Yes this may cause a queen unknown of what Kingdom and species to owe her life to me but just saying that even mentally brings headaches and now actually saying it I'm starting to realize just how much of a problem this may be.
With a sigh the Doctor mentally steels himself Doctor internal thoughts: Let's get to work before I try to reconsider, and I realize the mistake I'm making and the many future problems I'm going to cause myself.
With this final thought the doctor first looks as her most vital organs the heart and brain after seeing the heart had barely been touched let alone damaged he moved to the brain as he saw minor brain bleed so he began to operate on her brain after removing part of her skull temporarily just this part took 6 hours because all the saws kept breaking on her bones until one of her servants which I later learned was named Alaster gave me a saw that finally cut through her he seemed nervous while giving it to me but I just ignored it focusing on my patient.
In hindsight I probably should have payed more attention to his name and the way he acted but that was my first clue anyway I had a random thought while performing the surgery how is she still alive right now it's been a while most people would be dead by now even with magic potions and spells making things far easier than they would have been in the 21 century they still wouldn't explain how she's still alive.
In hindsight yet again this was more of my second clue with the near unbrakeable bones of the queen this is when I actually payed attention when I heard his name "Alaster" but I continued to try to shrug ignore it continued to believe he just has the name of someone else I've heard of so I carried on with the surgery opining the queen up under the light of the operating room while carefully making sure to drain her blood so she doesn't bleed out as I removed her ribs from her lungs while stitching them up at the same time so they don't get rushed with blood and swell and finally I reattach her reins with stitches and tools again given by Alaster as I finally finish the surgery
Doctor thoughts: Finished in 7 hours 26 minutes 37 seconds new record for me.
But as the doctor thought this he began to notice his patient already getting up and standing as she seems to have already nearly completely healed as Alaster bowed and made her bow in front of the Doctor.
Doctor: Y'all don't have to do that Amila shouldn't be up right now she should be resting and recovering but that's where I messed up her name hadn't been give or spoken to me not even in a slip of the tongue from Alaster so I shouldn't have had any way of knowing her name.
Now why was me knowing her name so important well it's because I should know it like because well there was supposed to be no way of me knowing now why had I been referring to her as queen in my mind it was for 2 reasons the first was to keep reminding myself that's she's a queen so she has an army and leader anyone can guess this based on her clothing and the fact she has servants the 2 was her name Amlia me mentaly avoiding it made it so I didn't connect the dots and was supposed to prevent me from having a slip of the tongue.
Now why would I want to intentionally prevent myself from connecting the dots because the conclusion I would have came to was that's she was the Queen of Demons one of the most hated species and instead of refusing to treat her or trying to kill her like a regular person I instead treated her and saved her life now saving a life is good and normally there would've no problem but because of that little slip of the tongue I had it would be difficult to near impossible to completely play it off like I didn't realize it.
Now because I had given away I knew her name and who they are now why was I so desperate not to give this away because despite what many many believe demons are loyal to a fault like Alaster I'm pretty sure he had been running around for hours searching for a doctor that could treat his queen.
Now for context are poor Doctor had accidentally wandered into the Kingdom of Demons and had become temporary head surgeon until the surgeon in training was finished but he was the only surgeon they had and while arriving in the kingdom of Demons so he had unknowingly somehow already earned the favor and approval of most Demons now he didn't notice where he was do to trying to ignore everything like he usually does causing his obliviousness.
