The wheels of Adrian's jet touched down with a jolt. He didn't wait for the stairs to fully descend—he was already leaping down with only a leather folder and a gun.
His phone buzzed. A scrambled signal came through:
"She's loose. Geneva containment breached. Evelyn is the target."
Adrian's jaw tightened.
"You're not touching her. Not again."

But when she passed the mirror again, she froze.
Her reflection… moved half a second too late.

The lights flickered. Something—someone—was in the apartment.

"Then I'll just have to be faster," Adrian said. He loaded his gun, eyes cold.
"No one hurts her again. Not even her."
