Chapter 7 - 7 Torn Between Two Worlds

The night felt colder than usual.

Sara sat on the edge of her bed, staring at the moon through the window. Her hands trembled slightly. Her mind was filled with voices — her parents', the stranger's, her own.

You're not human.

You're part werewolf.

We didn't want to tell you...

She hugged her knees to her chest. The girl who loved painting, soft music, and starry skies — that girl now had claws hiding beneath her skin.

Downstairs, Arya and Rohan sat by the fire.

"She hasn't come down in hours," Rohan said, worry in his voice.

"She needs time," Arya replied. "Her world just shattered."

"I should've told her earlier. I was afraid."

"So was I," Arya said. "We raised her as our daughter. She's everything to us. But the truth has caught up now."

Rohan looked at the flames. "What if she leaves us?"

Arya didn't answer.

Because deep inside… she feared the same.

The next morning, Sara came down quietly. Her eyes were tired, but she had stopped crying. She sat at the table while Arya poured her a cup of tea.

"Are you feeling okay?" Arya asked gently.

"I don't know," Sara said, her voice calm. "I'm angry… confused… scared. But I still love you both."

Rohan smiled faintly. "We love you too. More than anything."

Sara looked at them. "I need to know everything. No more secrets."

Arya nodded. "You deserve the truth."

They told her everything — the night of the accident, the storm, the attack, the transformation. How Arya turned Rohan. How they raised her like their own. How the werewolves had been searching for her all along.

Sara listened quietly, eyes wide, heart pounding.

When they finished, she asked softly, "Do you think they'll come for me again?"

Arya nodded. "Yes. Especially now that they know you're alive. But we'll protect you."

Sara clenched her jaw. "I don't want to run anymore. If I'm a werewolf… I want to know what that means. I want to learn who I really am."

Rohan looked uneasy. "You want to go to them?"

"I want to find out the truth," she said. "About my mother. About me."

Arya placed her hand over Sara's. "Then we'll go with you. You don't have to do this alone."

Sara shook her head. "No. If they see vampires with me, they might attack. I'll go alone. Just once. To talk."

Rohan stood up. "It's dangerous—"

"I know," she said, meeting his eyes. "But if I don't go now, I'll never know where I belong."

There was silence.

Then Arya said, "At least take this." She handed Sara a silver dagger. "It's old. It's blessed. Use it only if you must."

Sara took it and nodded.

That night, she left the house quietly, walking through the forest under the full moon.

Her heart raced. Her body felt… different.

Stronger. Wilder. Alive.

Then, she heard it — footsteps behind her.

A voice whispered from the trees, "I was waiting for you."

It was him — Viraj.

The boy she had met at college. The one she had been falling for.

Only now, his eyes glowed gold.

"You knew?" she asked him.

He nodded. "I've always known what you are. You're one of us, Sara. And it's time to come home."
