Chapter 1

Prologue / Episode 0 — "New Shoes, Old Ghosts"

Kaito transfers to Shinjin High expecting a fresh start. He's quickly reunited with people from his past — Daigo, his old friend; Ashiro, his former best friend turned distant stranger; and Rui, the girl connected to everything he tried to forget. Haruki, Rui's quiet but observant sister, is also there. Kaito tries to stay composed, but the tension is immediate. By the end of the day, the biggest surprise hits: Rui and Haruki are now living in his house as his new stepsisters

Episode 1 -

Kaito tries to adapt to his new living situation. Rui avoids him entirely while Haruki stays warm but cautious. A rooftop confrontation between Kaito and Rui leads to a sudden kiss — but Rui immediately pulls back and coldly tells him to forget it. Before walking away, she cryptically mentions a video involving Ashiro, hinting at something far darker than anyone has admitted.

Episode 2 — "Sunday: The Calm That Lies"

Kaito wakes up drained, trying to process Rui's behavior. Haruki senses the tension and tries to keep things light, but Kaito won't open up. The three of them are forced to clean together, and for a moment, Rui actually smiles. During lunch, their father mentions another new sibling arriving soon — the oldest one. That night, Rui warns Kaito that if he keeps trying to save people, it will break him. She tells him to come back only when he's ready to see people for who they are.

Episode 3 — "Echoes in Silence"

Kaito tries texting Ashiro but gets no reply. Haruki notices the distance growing between everyone. Meanwhile, Sora — the soon-to-arrive stepbrother — quietly begins observing the situation behind the scenes. Kaito meets Daigo at the court but gets vague answers about the Rui/Ashiro situation. The silence around Ashiro grows heavier.

Episode 4 — "The Ripple Before the Crash"

Haruki begins to piece together that something serious happened between Rui and Ashiro in the past. Kaito finally loses patience and confronts Daigo, accusing him of being involved. Just as it's about to become physical, Sora steps in for the first time, diffusing the fight and offering a warning: something bad is coming if this keeps building. That night, Haruki remembers seeing Rui cry after the breakup long ago — and realizes she never healed from it.

Episode 5 — "The Fracture Line"

Rui grows more distant. Sora tells Kaito that he's heard some things about Ashiro, but the truth is still murky. Kaito grows frustrated by how much everyone seems to be holding back. Daigo and Sora both seem to know more than they admit. Haruki quietly struggles to hold the family together as tensions continue to rise.

Episode 6 — "The Kiss That Lied"

In a moment of vulnerability, Rui kisses Kaito again. But this time, she pulls away and acts like it meant nothing — saying she only did it because she never had her first kiss before. Kaito is left emotionally confused. Meanwhile, Haruki and Sora grow closer as they confide in each other. Sora notes that everyone's too focused on the past to see what's happening right now.

Episode 7 — "History Echoes Twice"

Kaito steps back from Rui for a couple of days, trying to make sense of his feelings. The story draws a parallel between him and Ashiro — and how both left Rui behind at key moments. Rui reflects on how she stopped believing in love. Haruki begins to fall into despair watching everything fall apart, and Daigo backs up Rui, feeling partly responsible for how things spiraled years ago.

Episode 8 — "Replay"

The anonymous contact begins interfering more directly. Rui confronts Kaito emotionally, demanding answers. Meanwhile, Daigo and Kaito finally fight. Sora steps in again, and Haruki begins opening up more emotionally, revealing her own trauma. The contact's messages start to make more sense — someone is pushing the group toward a breaking point. It becomes clear that Sora knows more about Ashiro than he's said.

Episode 9 — "Phase Two"

The contact drops a file — an old video involving Ashiro, finally giving Rui confirmation that she wasn't crazy. Rui admits to herself that she still loves Kaito, even if she can't act on it. Haruki and Rui have a tense but healing conversation. Sora continues gathering information. A mysterious name is dropped — Aschao — but no one knows what it means yet.

Episode 10 — "The Unraveling"

Haruki takes center stage, trying to protect Rui. She reflects on everything she's seen — and everything that still doesn't add up. Daigo and Kaito begin aligning again, realizing the blame doesn't lie with one person. Meanwhile, the pressure continues to build around Ashiro, who's shown alone, clearly unraveling from guilt and obsession.

Episode 11 — "Let Me Fall"

Rui emotionally confronts Kaito about why he left her, even just for a few nights. Kaito apologizes, admitting he was scared to become the kind of man Ashiro was. Haruki finds comfort in Sora's presence. Meanwhile, Ashiro lashes out at one of his closest friends in a fit of rage. Sora warns everyone — the storm isn't coming, it's already here.

Episode 12 — "Red Eyes, White Lies"

Everything reaches its emotional peak. Rui and Kaito finally have an honest moment, and she tells him she still loves him — even if she wishes she didn't. They kiss again, this time for real. Ashiro prepares to confront Rui directly. The episode ends with the contact's identity nearly being revealed, and Rui and Kaito's relationship finally beginning to heal. The chapter closes on a quiet moment — but something bigger is coming.

This Concludes Chapter 1.
