"Revy, tell me—how did you escape from Reunion's siege?!"
Ever since his return, Amiya had practically been glued to Revy's side.
Under normal circumstances, such behavior would've been considered inappropriate—both professionally and personally—for the leader of Rhodes Island. But Revy's survival had clearly lifted a heavy burden from her heart.
Even Kal'tsit had quietly allowed it.
"Well… more or less what you all guessed."
Revy paused, then continued:
"Honestly, I didn't think I was going to make it out either. But right in the middle of the battle, a sudden localized Catastrophe erupted. The ground exploded with Originium growth, which disrupted Reunion's formation."
"So I took a few hits, but I managed to break through. Sometimes, good luck is a kind of strength."
Amiya nodded seriously.
The Originium clusters on the battlefield weren't fabricated—they'd been observed by multiple Rhodes Island operators. Revy's story simply confirmed their theory.
"So… where are you heading now, Revy? Want me to take you to your room first?"
"Your old dorm—it's still reserved for you!"
Revy's heart warmed a little at that.
"No, I'll drop by later. First, I want to check if my weapons can still be repaired."
He drew the black-and-white pistols from his belt.
The casings were warped and scorched from intense heat. Though his hands had been healed through cell regeneration, the damage to the weapons still told the story of a brutal last stand.
"Firmament… and Felony… they're a mess."
Amiya knew these weapons well—and what they meant to Revy. They weren't just tools of war; they were part of his identity. Seeing them in this state, her expression fell, her ears drooping with sorrow.
But then she perked up again.
"It's okay! We have some amazing people here now!""Miss Vulcan is an incredible blacksmith—she'll definitely be able to fix them!"
Revy smiled, visibly relieved.
"That's good. Let's see what she can do."
——Scene Break——
Kal'tsit stood over a newly arrived "package" with a frown.
To her, such a flamboyant vehicle was unfit for a Rhodes Island operator. But since it had been paid for entirely out of pocket—and posed no threat to the base—she refrained from interfering further.
It was a matte-black motorcycle.
Kal'tsit glanced at the attached documentation.
Custom Edition — Columbia's Reckless Motors Ltd.Model: "Shadowchaser" — A Land Beast
A heavily modified version of the "Tomahawk" line. With aerodynamic front cowlings, a V10 engine, twin tandem wheels, and independent suspension systems that ensured full contact even during hard turns—this monster could cruise over 500 km/h with a theoretical max speed of 680 km/h, assuming tire integrity held.
More importantly—it was custom-built for Revy, with every curve tailored to his frame.
And "Shadowchaser" was the only model in the world not named after the Tomahawk series.
Total cost: 6.9 million Lungmen coins—not counting customization fees.
Kal'tsit didn't know how a mere Catastrophe Messenger could afford such luxury, but frankly, she didn't care.
As long as it didn't threaten Rhodes Island, it wasn't her concern.
Still… she was very aware that some operators shouldn't see this.
"Take this to the warehouse—call Revy and let him know his delivery has arrived."
She turned to a temp operator.
"And whatever you do—don't let Logos or Hoshiguma see this."
"Understood, Doctor Kal'tsit. Anything else?"
"Just wait at the warehouse. I'll be back shortly."
——Scene Break——
"It can be repaired—but it'll take time."
Vulcan's expression was grim. As a blacksmith, few things irritated her more than operators who let their weapons fall into disrepair.
And these two pistols?
This wasn't a case of clumsy handling.
"The gun frames are nearly melted. The rear cartridge chambers have fused with the chassis. At this point, it'd be easier—and cheaper—to just rebuild them from scratch."
Revy winced slightly.
"That's going to cost a lot, huh…"
Before he could finish, Amiya cut in:
"Rhodes Island will cover the cost of Revy's weapon repairs."
Revy opened his mouth to protest—he could afford it—but seeing the sincerity in her eyes, he sighed and accepted the favor.
"With parts we don't have in stock, it'll take at least a month."Vulcan said, eyeing the pistols."So don't come rushing me every day."
Revy frowned, but before he could speak, Amiya added:
"That's okay. We'll be coordinating with Lungmen for a while—we won't be doing any combat operations. Just rest, Revy."
"…All right, then."
Just then, both Revy and Amiya's terminals buzzed—simultaneously.
And both messages were for Revy.
