Inside the Church – Night
The candles flickered low as Clara and Daniel stepped inside. The air smelled faintly... strange. Not like incense. More like—
Daniel: "Petrol? You smell that?"
Clara: "Something's not right. Where is she?"
Bella's voice echoed through the silent sanctuary.
Bella:
"You came. I wasn't sure you would. Not everyone's brave enough to walk into a lion's den when they know what's waiting."
She emerged from the shadows in a flowing black dress, bare feet touching the marble floor like a spirit. In her hands was a small silver lighter.
Clara (coldly):
"Where's my sister, Bella?"
Bella (tilting her head):
"Gone. Lost. Buried. Choose your favorite lie, it doesn't matter. She got in my way. Just like you are now."
Daniel:
"You sick little—! You won't get away with this. We know what you did at your last school. We've already sent it to the police."
Bella (smiling softly):
"Oh, the police? Please. They never catch me. They're too busy blaming the poor and praying with the priests."
Clara:
"You think killing people makes you powerful? It makes you pathetic. You manipulate, you destroy, and for what? Because no one loved you right?"
Bella's expression darkened. Her voice dropped to a chilling whisper.
Bella:
"I don't need to be loved by the world. I only need him. And I have him. He chose me. Even after I told him everything... he still kissed me. Touched me. Prayed with me after."
She held up the priest's phone.
Bella:
"He's not here tonight. But he'll read the messages I sent. He'll cry. He'll scream. And then he'll come crawling back."
Daniel (gritting his teeth):
"You're insane."
Bella:
"No... I'm free. And you? You came here looking for truth. So let me give you what you wanted."
She flicked the lighter.
A small flame danced in her palm.
Bella (softly):
"Your truth is this — I killed your sister. I watched the light fade from her eyes while she begged me to let her go. And it was... beautiful."
Clara:
"You'll burn for this."
Bella:
"I know."
She dropped the lighter.
The petrol-soaked floor ignited instantly, flames racing down the aisles, licking the walls, curling toward the ceiling like a serpent made of fire.
Daniel ran to the main doors — but they were chained shut.
Daniel (shouting):
"Clara! Help me—! The back exit—!"
Clara turned to Bella, fury in her eyes.
Clara:
"You won't survive this. You won't win."
Bella (smiling with a mad glint in her eyes):
"Oh, but I already did. The moment you stepped inside...
You became part of my story."
The stained-glass windows exploded from the heat. Fire engulfed the rafters. Screams echoed as Bella walked calmly
