Viviane did not expect to possessed the villainess of the recent novel she read from her past life. "Dawn Of Roses" was a typical cliche romance fantasy novel that focuses on the romance between the male lead and female lead.
Unfortunately for Viviane she possessed the typical villainess who always torments the female lead, Viviane de Borgia. In the novel Viviane de Borgia was described as cruel, evil and a bad master to her people. She thrives in the misery of those beneath her, and sees the people she likes as her possessions. It so happens that the male lead, Carlisle Obellia the crown Prince, is the target of the villainess affection. So, when the female lead, Sophie Andwell, came in the picture and 'stole' Viviane's possession, the villainess did not hesitate to make her life a living hell.
In the end, unable to endure the villainess obsession and tormenting the heroine, the male lead, Carlisle Obellia, punished the villainess by stripping her family's status and exposing their crimes. Although, the male lead did not kill her outright, but Viviane de Borgia was murdered by another person whom was revealed by the end of season 1 to be the hidden villain.
Though, the novel ended at season 1, the current Viviane was unable to continue the rest as she fell on the lake during a summer trip and drowned. When she woke up, she was bombarded endlessly with worried gazes from people she was unfamiliar with. Moreover, as they speak of her name, it was of formality rather than familiarity.
Viviane realized then that she possessed the villainess body and that she's no longer alive in her previous world.
It took her days to accept this reality until she determined to take things for a good turn and be a good master. She was able to conclude that the plot has yet to begin as she is still at the age of 17.
The plot starts when Viviane was 19 years old, and became an unhinged villainess.
So there was still 2 years before the novel starts. Unfortunately it wasn't easy, Viviane realized that her family was outright bad people who enjoys the misery of others. Even with their own children.
Her father, Duke Francis De Borgia, a cold and domineering man, who wears a mask of innocence to trick people to submit in his will. Her older brother, Calix de Borgia, a psychopath and calculative jerk, just like his father, charms other people with his beautiful face. Both men, strives to get what they want and will not stop until they have it on their hands.
Lastly, poor Viviane de Borgia, a victim of abuse, and manipulation. A marionette to her father and older brother. A pawn to their pieces, to use and throw away. That was her role in the house.
It was then Viviane realized why the villainess had to act that way because her circumstances did not allow her to become herself, instead, is used for gains that others benefited but she cannot. There was no freedom for the original Viviane de Borgia, just a shackle, a pretty bird in a huge cage.
Viviane had no choice but to play safe and obey these people or she will be killed with no hesitation.
Fortunately, Viviane was able to persuade the Duke to have a temporary vacation at a villa at a country side. She reasoned in the guise of healing and recovering. Though the Duke was suspicious of her, she maintained that dumbfounded look to lower his guard and thus, begin her journey to the country side.
Viviane thought she escaped the pressuring demands from the Duke and her older brother, unfortunately, the heavens aren't too keen about her decision. While traveling, a strange person in a black cloak stopped them from their tracks.
"My lady, it seemed that a stranger is blocking our path and will not move." The driver worried, attempting to shoo away the person.
Viviane lifted the curtains and looked outside her carriage to see the commotion. The person was unmoving, a strange looking basket in their arms.
"You!! Are you deaf!? Get out of the way!!" The knight guarding her, yelled.
But the person was unwilling, as if waiting. Viviane frowned, she observed the way the person remained standing, as if assessing them over. She raised her hand to silence the knight.
"I'll take a look.." she uttered, eyes gazing at the person with caution.
"But my lady, what if they're dangerous?!?" The knight suspected, attempting to draw his sword.
"If they're dangerous they would have attacked our carriage by now." Viviane concluded, silencing the knight.
She opens the door and left the carriage. Walking towards the cloaked person with confident stride.
"Stranger, you are blocking my path." She stated, eyes scanning them from head to toe.
The person did not speak, their face was covered, but their hands reached out to her with the strange looking basket.
Viviane remained unmoving but so is the person. It was as if this stranger has been waiting for her.
The basket was big, but not enough to obscure her face. She hesitated but the stranger did not attack, only waiting.
Finally, Viviane give in. Her hands taking in the huge basket. It was then that the stranger stepped back.
"Please take care of it." They spoke finally.
Viviane was confused at their words and was about to say something when they suddenly vanished. The accompanying people behind her made a huge gasps as they witnessed the whole ordeal. Who was that person? Why did they not attack? What is their motives?
Viviane frowned at the thought, but it ended the moment she heard a loud cry from the basket, she almost dropped it out of surprised.
"Waaaah!!!" A cry of an infant resounded.
It surprised the people and Viviane who uncovered the basket to reveal a beautiful infant, with silver hair and pale skin.
Her personal maid rushed over and yelped as they saw an infant in the basket.
"Oh my goddess! That's a child!!"
The baby continued to cry as if sensing the people around.
"Oh dear, why did they leave this child to us?? What if this is some sort of a frame?? And will held us accountable?? My lady we must report this to the authorities!!" The maid continued worriedly, gazing at the baby anxiously.
"Wait.." Viviane stopped her maid as she reached for the basket. There was a letter tucked in between the baby's clothes.
Viviane carefully picked the letter as she tried to coaxed the baby.
The letter did not bear any seal or crest to whom it might belong to. Just a plain white letter.
She carefully opens it and read its content.
"Please take care of this child. We will compensate you properly."
"That's it??" Viviane frowned as she flipped the letter back to back to see if there was an additional information but there was none.
She gazes back at the crying baby, a deep thought in her mind. Who in the world leaves their baby to a stranger!?!
But remembering the way the person blocked their paths, unmoving despite her people trying to drive them away, they just stand there, as if waiting for the right time. For Viviane, to get out of the carriage and receive the basket herself.
The infant continued its wail bringing Viviane's attention. How is she supposed to take care of a child when she's trying to survive?? Nonetheless, she cannot also entrust the baby to anyone else, seeing as 'that person' entrusted the infant to her out of every person that could have traveled at the same road.
"My Lady what should we do??" Her personal maid, Alia, worried.
Viviane give the child another glance as they continued to cry. She left a deep breath before taking the baby out of its basket.
"I don't know yet, I'll have to think about it thoroughly once we arrive at the villa. For now let's stop at a nearby village and get this baby food, possibly milk, and some clothes and diapers for a change." Viviane thought as she started walking back to the carriage, while the baby stopped crying, gazing at her with curious eyes.
"Understood My lady..." Alia nodded her head, following her lady.
The accompanying people who had witnessed everything could only silence themselves as they watch their lady taking in the infant. They realized that the baby had stopped crying the moment Viviane carried the infant in her arms.
The carriage returned to its original track and the people followed without defiance.
On the other hand, Viviane stared down at the baby in deep thought, why was she entrusted with the baby and who are they?? What gains will they benefit if she takes care of the baby??
She shakes off her thought as the baby started to giggle at her. As if amused, their cute hands swaying, trying to reach her gray locks.
"Well, aren't you a charmer..." Viviane coos, her thumb caressing the baby's smooth cheek.
'Whatever it is, it is up to me whether to keep this child or not' she sighed.
