Hu Yiting pulled out the chair for Shen Mu to sit, he walked around and sat in front of her. The waiter came to them and handed them the menu; Shen Mu took the menu and placed her order. After the waiter took the orders, he left.
"How is work?" Hu Yiting asked.
"Boring, it was so much more fun when Cheng Xiao was there." Shen Mu replied.
"I barely see her these days." She added with a hint of sadness.
" Don't you have lunch with her every day?" Hu Yiting asked with a small chuckle.
"It's not the same, before we use to live together but your friend took her, now I am so lonely." She whined like a child.
"Do you want to come and stay with me?" Hu Yiting asked making her choke on the water she was drinking.
"Sorry, are you okay?" Hu Yiting apologized handing her a tissue.
"I am fine." Shen Mu replied taking the tissue from him.
"So?" Hu Yiting asked again when he saw she was alright.
"Isn't it too early in our relationship to move in together?" Shen Mu asked.
What if they moved in together and problems rises? What was she to do? Shen Mu looked at Hu Yiting under her eyelashes, she was nervous to look up.
"Do you think we are going to break up when you move in?" Hu Yiting asked.
"Mm!" She nodded her head still down.
She was playing with hand on her lap to avoid looking up at him.
"I would have said let's get married, but I also know it is still early in our relationship." Hu Yiting spoke, Shen Mu looked up and met his eyes.
"Don't worry about our class difference, my family don't mind." Hu Yiting answered the question she was about to ask.
"You want to marry me?" Shen Mu asked.
"Why not?" Hu Yiting asked back.
Hu Yiting has never thought of getting married, never mind even dating. To him work was the most important thing in his life and when his mother arranged blind dates for him, he would always get annoyed by the person and make an excuse.
His mother gave up on setting him up ten failed blind dates. Sometimes she would invite him for lunch, and he wouldn't know that it was a blind date arranged.
To add it all, his job took most of his time and he didn't think that he wanted to impose that on his partner. How he fell in love with Shen Mu cannot be said as love at first sight.
"I am serious about you; I never thought that I would want to settle down one day until I met you. Normally patients would try to fix me up with their daughters and I would refuse right away, but when your mother asked, I couldn't." He spoke.
