"I was touched by how you took care of your mother when she was sick." Hu Yiting spoke.
"I am sure you see that everyday, it was nothing special." Shen Mu replied.
Hu Yiting worked in a hospital, so he must have seen all the time when family members would worry about each other.
"I was won over by the type of friendship you and Cheng Xiao shared. It showed me how loyal you to your friends and loved one, why wouldn't I fall in love with a woman like you." Hu Yiting spoke looking into her eyes.
"You love me?" Shen Mu asked.
"Mm!" Hu Yiting nodded.
Shen Mu nodded as well. "I want to think about it." She said shyly and looked at her hands.
Cheng Xiao and Xu Kai sat on the dining table eating in silence. The maids looked at the tension between them and felt puzzled. It was like the time Cheng Xiao and Xu Kai used to have meals while she was still his secretary.
The difference between now and then was than when Cheng Xiao was still his secretary, they would talk about business as they ate. Looking at things back then, Cheng Xiao is still the only woman to have ever stepped a foot into this house.
"How is it being in the designing department?" Xu Kai asked breaking the ice.
"Fine!" Cheng Xiao replied shortly.
Xu Kai looked at her. "Must it be this awkward?" He asked again.
"If you don't like it, divorce me." Cheng Xiao replied looking at him with irritation.
"That's it, I have had enough of it." Xu Kai threw his utensils and stood up.
The maids watched scared of what was about to happen. Xu Kai never even had a good temper to begin with, and it seems like Cheng Xiao just liked to things that would make him angry.
Xu Kai marched around to where Cheng Xiao was sitting and took her hand. He yanked her up and started to march towards the stairs. Cheng Xiao has never seen him so angry and tried to yank her hand away from his.
"If you know what is good for you, you will follow me." Xu Kai warned.
Cheng Xiao gave up struggling and just followed him. Xu Kai opened the door to their bedroom and entered, once they were inside, he threw to the bed and pointed a finger at her.
"You really like to make me angry, don't you?" He asked angrily.
