"…uh…" she couldn't understand what was going on herself, she read about him through her mother's journal.
Angel remembered it was mentioned that her Uncle Katsuya was having another baby boy named Kaitou, on the same year she was born. Everything was clearly written.
She just couldn't believe that it was all coming to her so quickly, too quick. All this truth bombs weighing down her shoulders at insane speed of incomprehensibility.
"Yeah…I guess you could say I do. Your father was my godfather, my uncle." She sighed and squatted on the ground "My father, was your uncle. Well we are not related by blood, but our fathers' bonds were beyond the DNA, so you could say we are related."
"…" Kaitou was iced into place, now it was his turn to wrap his head around the discovery, "Um…"
"…so basically, Kaitou-san just found his cousin?" The red head smirked awkwardly, "right?"
"Seem like there is a lot to catch up on, don't you think." Angel groaned before standing up, "Shall we get to it."
"Not here." Kaitou suggested, "My apartment is nearby." He was desperate to understand what was going on.
"Wait wait, I am coming as well!" The red head protested, "can't just leave ME here alone!"
"Uh…." Angel turned chibi, "who even is you." She poked.
"Me? Me- Oh, I am Fujino Uchi! The Mūso Fight club belong to my uncle, and you can say Kaitou is like my elder brother! I have to follow. There is no way I am missing!"
"He's safe, we can have him." Kaitou crossed his arm, "this guy's my family, it'll be fine."
"WAIT hold up- Fujino, as in one of the 7 overseers, The Fujino Clan?" she was once again frozen, "what is going on today…" she muttered jokingly to herself.
"Uhh…thats ancient history." Uichi shook his head, "we're just a simple fight club belonged to the Muteki Group now."
Angel: "So you're saying, the infamous Fujino fight club 8 years ago was rebranded into the Mūso fight club, and then became a faction of the Muteki Group."
Uichi: "Yeah, after the Akiyama Clan was destroyed, thats basically the story."
Angel: "So you do know about The Akiyama group…?"
Uichi: "Uh…not really, I do remember getting trained to be the next heir of the Fujino clan to serve the Akiyama Group, but that was all history. After the Akiyama Group was destroyed, the Muteki Group took over, and things fell into what it is today."
Kaitou sighed cut off their exchange, "So are you both gonna continue chatting here or?"
"Pftt alright big guy. Its cold, lets get going." Angel raised her arms high, stretching her sore muscles out before they marched down the dim streets.

8 years ago, in a random house in Asakusa Japan.
It was a cold and windy night, and the Kimura family was gathered around the dinner table. Katsuya just came home, he entered the kitchen and took his seat without forgetting to plant a kiss on his wife's cheek first.
"Hi honey, how was your day?" Emi asked her husband with a soft smile on her face.
"It was eventful, to say the least." Katsuya sighed,"You know about the situation in the underworld, don't you?" He started eating, face sheathed in exhaustion.
"The news are all over the streets…" Emi looked down, worried. "All these violence outbreak…where did it even came from seriously, I don't like this. If they keep going at each other like this, who's to say it won't be our turn next…"
Katsuya nodded slowly, "I know, but what can we do? All these are too sudden, we didn't know that the peace initiative to cause such rebellion, kinda weird, don't you think?"
He found the situation hard to comprehend; these night creatures were never so aggressive, and the Akiyama group shouldn't be facing as much internal conflict like this.
It never happened before, and it was all too unforeseen.
Emi: "I wish there was a way to settle this without violence…this feels like the beginning of the Sin City era all over again, even worse."
Katsuya: "We'll make sure that era stays history."
They continued to eat, and they talked about their plans for the future. Katsuya mentioned that he had been considering moving the family away from Japan, perhaps to one of the neighbouring countries, where it would be safer. Emi agreed, they should move away for the time being, until the Akiyama group settled everything.

The next several days were like any other, but as Katsuya drove towards his house, a look of horror plastered on his face. The house was engulfed in flames and smoke was billowing out of every window. He saw a group of firefighters surrounding his very home, they were desperately trying to put out the fire, but they couldn't get through the flames.
Katsuya was in a state of panic, he tried to push past the firefighters blocking his way. "Move! Move!" he shouted, struggling to break through their line. "My family's inside!"
The firefighters restrained, "we can't let you go in there, it's too dangerous!" they shouted over the noise of the flames.
Katsuya shook them off, his anger and grief giving him strength. "FUCK OFF! I SAID MY FAMILY IS INSIDE!" he tore away from their grasp, racing towards the burning house. He violently charge past all into the burning building, the heat almost unbearable.
Katsuya ran up the stairs, his lungs burning with every breath, but he forged on, pushing through the smoke and flames. The sound of the sirens blared, but all Katsuya could hear was a ringing in his ears and pounding of his heavy heart.
As he made his way upstairs, he could feel the heat from the flames growing more intense. When he reached his wife's room, he saw her lying on the floor, motionless. Tears filled his eyes, he reached out to touch her face. "Emi…no…Emi…baby…"
All the strength and will to live was evaporating from his body, his love of the life, his soulmate. His world was shattering.
Suddenly, he heard the sound of a soft cry coming from the room next door. His heart racing, he ran to the door and yanked it open. On the bed lay his son, Kiryu, his eyes closed, chest not rising and falling, "Kiryu," he whispered, his voice trembling. "Kiryu, wake up, please."
There was no pulse; his heart had stopped beating. Everything spun as the realisation hit him
His younger son, little Kaitou, huddled in the corner, arms wrapped around himself, tears streaming down his face. Katsuya's heart caught in his chest, and he ran, pulling his son up into a tight embrace. "It's okay, Kaitou, daddy's here, everything's going to be okay."
Katsuya carried him out of the house. The firefighters were waiting outside, their faces grim. As soon as they saw Katsuya emerge from the house with the child in his arms, they rushed to assist.
Kaitou shook his head, his eyes bathed in fear. "Mommy and Kiryu," his voice breaking. "Where are they, daddy…?"
Katsuya's heart ached, "I don't know, Kaitou...I don't know."
The sirens were louder, the flames grew higher.
The world around him fell into chaos, and Katsuya looked down at Kaitou's twisted innocent face, feeling a mix of fear and determination. He had to protect his son, no matter the cost.

.
With a heavy heart, Katsuya walked up to the orphanage, Kaitou by his side. The boy looked up at his father, confused. "Why are we here, daddy?"
"This is the best place for you." He said quietly. "You'll be safe here, and I promise I'll come back for you, no matter what."
"But why can't I stay with you, I don't want to be here alone."
Katsuya knelt down, taking Kaitou's hands, "I can't keep you safe. The world is too dangerous for us right now. I have to protect you, and this is the best way I know how."
Kaitou tried to pull away, but his father held him close. "I promise I'll come back for you," his voice lowering, "and I promise I'll make everything right, no matter."
The boy broke down in tears, clinging to his father's shirt, begging him not to leave him there. But Katsuya had no choice. With a bleeding heart, he kissed Kaitou on the forehead
"I love you, remember that. I hope you will forgive this father." He clenched his fists and used all of his willpower to walk away.
As someone who had been abandoned in the orphanage at a young age, Katsuya will never be able to forgive himself for doing this, and to be honest, he doubted in his heart that he would even survive to see his son again.
"...daddy."
