Emma was out in the yellow grass plain once more; it was her new routine to come here every day.
Except now there were more people, Eye, Isabella, and Oliver had all come.
Isabella had carried a massive cart with her. It already had a corpse of a Lost
Emma was standing still, waiting for the next to come, while Oliver and Eye had been out together to search for Lost.
Her last time being out was simply too dangerous! They brought out more people to train because of that.
Apparently going out here to train required 3 other people to be with you. The only reason why it was only Eye and Emma last time was because it was supposedly a test to see if you're really meant for Avid. Eye was only supposed to find Lost on her own level to kill.
Emma had only been a level 1 agony, Spirit, so they had to find level 1 Lost spirits, but apparently being at level 1, while you're a Spirit was simply unheard of. So instead, they would replace it with Lesser Spirits.
Eye thought this would be too easy for her. And well... The Pale giant humanoid Lost happened.
But it wasn't a bad thing at all for her!
Sure, it had been hard to deal with that thing, but the reward for it was simply too big for Emma to care about.
Bang!
A giant Pale humanoid beast with no eye sockets had crushed down yet another Lost, turning into pure flesh, no one would be able to know how it looked before.
"This power! Is it simply it! Sure, I can't see anymore and have to rely on whatever I saw before I turned into this, but who cares? I have so much power right now, it's overwhelming! I have taken yet another step closer to becoming stronger!" Emma was overjoyed; she finally took another step out of the trillion that awaited her.
"This is just so unfair…" Eye snickered to himself, realistically though even if she was in that form he would still win against her. It's just that Eye was a bit envious of this ability's potential.
"Let's find harder ones for her, these lesser ones are simply not going to cut it." The black-haired guy said, heading back to the forest.
"Isabella, since you're no longer the newest wanna come!?" Eye shouted to the green lady.
"I'm good." Isabella shouted back.
Emma turned back to herself once more, looking towards Isabella unintentionally.
"Emma mind if I ask, what's the point in you doing all this?" Isabella asked with a soft tone, like she was trying to calm down a tyrant.
"Cause I wanna get stronger, why do you ask?" Emma responded to Isabella.
"Not all people are willing to fight, I just want to know why those who do, do it. I find it intriguing." Isabella replied, with a brave smile on her face.
"Then why are you here? You want to get stronger, right?" Emma asked in surprise, she was honestly a bit confused by her answer and wanted to know more.
"For the money. Everywhere else stinks at paying their people properly. Truthfully, I want to become one of the greatest artists to exist! And for that I need to go to union, but I can't afford to travel on my own, so I decided to come here, as long as I do good, the pay is fabulous."
"Plus, getting stronger would be more of a help than a loss if I traveled. It's better to be safe than dead." Isabella smiled, in a way they both wanted to become stronger because it was a way to get their true goals.
Strength is useless without a sense of self.
"Union… what's that?" Emma asked, visibly embarrassed that she hadn't known.
"Oh, union is just the second largest country, with the most opportunities for people, that place is drenched with art lovers!" Isabella explained. "And what better place than that to become the greatest there is!"
"What is the greatest in art?" The voice in her head suddenly asked, making it ⅓ for right now. Emma asked the same question to Isabella.
"The greatest? That's simple, it's just the one who innovated art to level that unimaginable! Honestly, I'm not sure how I'm going to get to that level, but I'm definitely sure that I will try to. Or I will get it." Isabella said in an excited tone, suddenly at the same time, a loud crashing sound that sounded like rocks colliding could be heard.
And they continued to talk for what felt like hours.
"Oh no!... I forgot… the limit… I was… only… supposed… to talk.. for… an hour… max…. Now… it's gone." Isabella said in a sad tone.
"It's my own fault for making you talk so long. I promise to pay you back for breaking it, no matter how long it takes." Emma said in surprise of Isabella's sudden change of voice.
"Thank you." Isabella said with a sweet voice. "I wish… you get… whatever… you truly… wish for... To."
"I will, and so will you!" Emma responded to Isabella, feeling a bit guilty towards her situation.
Isabella having such a huge dream, Emma felt like her own was small. At least the one she's been telling people.
Resurrection was no small matter! Comparisons on dreams were stupid! Everyone has their own goals and motives, how could you possibly compare dreams then?
Who cares if they're similar? The reasonings behind them are not. And striving to get them shouldn't change either.

By now the cart had been filled completely with flesh scrapes, the group had been walking in the city. Eye and Oliver were at the back of the cart arguing about stuff, while Emma and Isabella were talking to each other, Emma felt like she found her first friend in here.
Isabella was such a cool person.
"Emma, we're going now. We'll be doing some actual training now." Eye said, parting away from Oliver, and Emma followed and did the same.
"See you later!" Emma shouted to Isabella.
"I'll see… you soon." Isabella said in a sweet tone, and gentle smile.
Eye had run into one of the buildings, leaving Emma to follow in pursuit.
Emma had thought to herself, "When I bring Luna back, I'll definitely ask Mr. Wishing Star to stay here! How could I leave my first friend hanging like that!"
