Cube's classes and exams were always carried out in Korean. Even the small number of Cube's foreign professors held their classes in Korean, though their pronunciation and linguistic ability were no different than native speakers'. With Korean becoming the shared language of many countries, learning Korean became an important part of many countries' culture.
« Why are they saying it like that? » *Nayun*
« Remember what were Hajin's impression on Korea. » *Yeonha*
« I don't remember anything- » *Nayun*
« He said Korea wasn't that much powerful in his universe compared to what it is in his novel. » Interrupted Suho. That way, he didn't give the chance for Nayun to speak or curse.
From what they could remember, Hajin specified that Korea was clearly different by not being a that powerful nation in his universe as well as the capacities of the human body. They were both incredibly weak compared to what they're used to so it took them some more time adjusting to the idea of it.
Apparently, Nayun still didn't get the thought of it since her lack of awareness in the matter was rather obvious to the others.
« Really? I must have forgotten then. » She placed her arms behind her head as if to mimic a "I'm innocent anyway" gesture. Yeonha only rolled her eyes at the movement.
But a foreign language was still a foreign language. Just because Korean became a shared language, it didn't mean that learning it was any easier. To foreigners, Korean was still a difficult language to master.
« Like any other language I guess. » *Jonghak*
Yeonha gave him a sceptical look. Stating the obvious wasn't helping in any way so why bother passing through it? He replied with a slight frown that provoked the sensation of a pinch on the girl's heart.
She scoffed at the gesture. What was she expecting from a boy who had a crush on Nayun? Maybe she should move on but her feelings weren't of the same opinion and kept her agonising over a one-sided love.
But even with the disadvantage of being a foreigner, Rachel could understand what the professors were saying and could write mostly correct answers on exams. It was easy to see how much effort she put into studying.
« I didn't know you put that much effort in your results Rachel-ssi. It's impressing. » Suho was practically beaming at her. She responded with a faint smile as a sign of acceptance of the compliment he just made.
Nayun narrowed her eyes at the interaction while Yeonha was hesitating on what she should do with her friend. Teasing her with the mention of Hajin was fun but it'd be even more if the girl harboured feelings towards the rank 1 cadet as well.
She smiled mischievously at the thought while Jonghak was avoiding any contact with these crazy girls. No way in hell he was putting himself on the line for their weird "conversations".
As a country's royalty, she put in the effort to maintain a certain level of elegance and dignity. She wanted to become the perfect Hero in both theory and combat, and write a textbook for the English Royal Hero Academy.
« That's some high goals you're putting as objectives princess. Are you sure you'll be capable of achieving them by yourself?~ » Rachel noticed the hidden daggers under the compliment. She brushed it off and cleared her throat as if to provoke the girl.
« No need to worry. In fact, I think I'm quite capable. » She glanced quickly at Yeonha before her lips twitched upwards and shot her a small smirk. The latter turned her gaze back on the screen and if it wasn't for the armchair she was holding to for dear life, you'd have thought the response didn't affect her but she knew better than succumb to the enemy's provocation.
Naturally, the citizens of England were fanatical when it came to Rachel. They were proud, saying that it was finally time for a Master rank Hero to come out of England.
The pressure that Rachel felt increased on her shoulders. She had to become a symbol of proudness to her country and not tarnish its honour. All this, only possible with her showing the talent England possessed by proving herself at Cube.
She wasn't here to play but to accomplish whatever was in her power to bring her country in the spotlights and earn the respect she longed for. She wondered if Hajin gave her an important role in his story but she hopes that he gave her what he made her want to achieve.
'Master' rank Hero referred to top 70 of the world's most brilliant Heroes. Currently, 33 of these 70 Heroes were Korean, while 18 were American and 9 were Chinese. Only 2 were from England, but even that was arguable, as they obtained Korean citizenship 15 years ago.
« That's twisted. Didn't he want some equality with the balance of power in the world? » *Jonghak*
« It was just a novel in his perspective and even if he knew the world he created was real, he wouldn't change things so that there won't be any interference with the story's plot. » *Yeonha*
« Wait. If this world was just a novel in his perspective, do you think he still has the same opinion about us right now? » The question suddenly popped in Rachel's mouth and as the words slipped out of her mouth, silence fell in the room.
The chances of it were quite high since Hajin remained a mystery even after all the revelations. The thought of it made something in their stomach twist.
« He um… surely wouldn't think of us that way, right? » It was more of a question to herself than to the others. Yeonha couldn't shake off the feeling of being considered only a fictional "character" by the said author.
Alas, none of them had the answer to the inquiry. A fly could be heard passing by in the room. It surely confused this chamber to the wine one it looked for in the precedent fanfiction. It made quite a long way to end up here though…
Shoo! Your role isn't finished in the other fanfic! You have to make an appearance in the second chapter!
As such, the citizens of England kept their eyes out on any news regarding Rachel, who they hoped would become the symbol of their nation.
'She has a rather great pressure on her…' Thought Suho when glancing at the blonde princess.
'I can see why she wants Hajin so bad now but I'm absolutely not losing him to her.' Reflected at her turn Yeonha.
If it wasn't for the context, you'd think Yeonha was talking about something more… personnel-
Maybe she is talking about something more personnel huh-
To respond to their expectations, Rachel did not sleep more than two hours a day. But the 'record' she maintained through all this effort was broken today.
« The hell you mean? She doesn't sleep more than 2 hours a day? That's… » Started Jonghak only for his sentence to be ended by Yeonha.
« -Sick. » She smirked at the sceptical look that the boy gave her. Spending so many years next to him without question increased her ability to predict the boy's every thought. Maybe the said skill could help one day but it won't help her much in the upcoming one shot I'm preparing for her.
Rachel wasn't sad, only apprehensive and apologetic. Of course, the result of a single written exam was unlikely to spread to England, but 'Phenomenon Realm Analysis' was a difficult topic even for her. The gap between her and first place would likely not change for a while.
« He absolutely knows what he's doing. » Said Jonghak narrowing his eyes at the screen.
« You bet he knows. » Yeonha scoffed while Rachel was shooting them a glare she never attended on using towards people she was supposed to work with for a certain limit of time. Yeonha was an exception since the two girls were fighting to gain Hajin's trust. Nayun wasn't because she only considered her as a rival to achieve her goal.
"..."
At that moment, Rachel felt a gaze looking at her. It was from an average-looking man. She didn't know his name, but she felt the gazes of other cadets falling on the man. Immediately, Rachel realized that this man was Kim Hajin. The man turned back to face the front of the class, but Rachel remembered his face.
Rachel began to covet the notebook he had in front of him.
« Don't tell me you were going to steal it… » Said Jonghak not believing what the last line implied.
« I'm not lowering myself for grades- » Retorted Rachel with exhaustion. It seemed like this episode was only about her, Hajin and their thoughts. That promised to be compromising.
**
There was a slight uproar at the fact that I got first place on the 'Phenomenon Realm Analysis' written exam, a topic widely known to be one of the most difficult at Cube. Rachel didn't say much, but the professor personally praised me despite Monday's professor being different than Friday's professor.
« He adds so many unimportant details. I feel like he's used to a totally different word than ours. » *Yeonha*
« He isn't used to one totally distinct from this one but I think he only adds these details to emphasize on some things. » Said Suho. He wanted to give his opinion on the matter which Yeonha actually seeks but didn't know how to ask.
"I also looked at Kim Hajin cadet's answer sheet. His knowledge and vision were impressive to say the least. I hope other cadets can learn his passion for studying. Once again, theory is very important."
« Did you pay him to say that? » Asked Nayun turning to Jonghak.
« Why would I do that?? » He asked with a voice soaked in disbelief.
« I bet the other were jealous the moment the teacher said that to him so it would amplify the hatred directed toward Hajin. » Reasoned Yeonha.
« Do you all think so lowly of me? » He asked his mouth slightly agape.
« Yes. » Not only did Yeonha and Nayun team up against him, but Suho and Rachel also said the same word as them at the exact same time.
« Whatever- » *Jonghak*
That was what the professor said. From my perspective, it couldn't have been more uncomforting.
« Exactly what we just said. You sure you didn't? » Nayun glanced at the boy.
« For the last time. NO, I DIDN'T! » *Jonghak*
« If you say so~ » *Yeonha*
In any case, I quickly left the moment classes ended. I had a lot to do today. No, I had a lot of SP to spend.
« He will never change, won't he? » *Nayun*
« So far, it rather seems like a yes but maybe in a certain future? » *Suho*
« You are quite the optimistic when we're talking about Hajin, Suho~ » Yeonha witnessed the failing attempts of the boy of hiding the change of expression happening to him at the comment. She couldn't help but smirk every time she earned a reaction at her snarky comments from each one of the other cadets in the room.
You could tell it was her new motto.
I couldn't hoard SP anymore if I wanted to protect myself from upcoming events. Now that the second arc had begun, Cube was no longer a safe place. Several Djinns should have already laid traps within the academy.
« The heck- » Jonghak raised an eyebrow at the new piece of information Hajin had given to them.
They were now more exposed at djinn attacks even in the academy and that didn't sound good to hear if the former attack of a certain djinn (the one who kidnapped Yeonha) was only the beginning to multiple others.
« I don't know about you but I'm clearly not excited for the upcoming events… » *Yeonha*
« You're not the only one, don't worry- » *Nayun*
To briefly explain about Djinns, a Djinn was a human who formed a contract with a devil. In exchange for a human's soul, a devil gave him power. Naturally, higher ranked devils gave stronger powers.
« Am I the only one feeling like he's explaining to an actual audience? » Asked Rachel. It was true if you looked at it from another angle. There was some random information dump here and there and the explanations are quite endearing if you asked them.
« I also feel that way but I remember the voice talking about another novel who's main character was Hajin. » They sort of were disoriented. However, when Suho reminded them of this tiny detail, they finally understood.
They were actually reacting to this particular novel since the very beginning.
« Ah, yes. The Novel's Extra- » Jonghak didn't bother to hide his laugh at the noun. Like he already said it before, it was quite the fitting title for the boy's situation.
But if an ordinary human formed this contract, he would only become a demi-Djinn, a puppet without intelligence. The 'Dog of Lucius' from the museum was an example of this type.
« An example. We have to prepare ourselves more thoroughly if we want to intercept future alike attacks from djinns. » *Suho*
Jonghak rolled his eyes at the not-so-hidden understatement behind the boy's warning, « We didn't need heads up. We're capable of taking them since Hajin's novel is extending to 10 years from now. »
« We have to keep in mind potential interventions from the co-author though. » *Rachel*
« He just added himself like nothing- I don't like him. » Said Nayun with resolution in her tone. If it wasn't for the co-author's intervention, she would still have her brother. She frowned at the thought and gripped the armchair her nails, leaving potential scratches.
Thanks to Lucius' magic power, the man had gained enough power to combat Kim Suho, but losing his sanity to rage, he couldn't even accomplish the mission his master gave him. If he ignored Kim Suho and killed his intended target, Lucius would have been satisfied.
« I wonder why he doesn't tell us these things. » *Yeonha*
« Yeah, if he just told us what he knew, we'd escape from many unnecessary troubles. » *Nayun*
« You forgot there are no useless events with Hajin… » *Suho*
« Nah you forgot one things before whining. » *Jonghak*
« Pray tell us then. » Rachel looked at the boy with a daring gaze. The only comments he made so far were to mock Hajin so it was obvious what was coming next from his mouth.
« Before giving us so many important details of "future" events, were you going to believe him anyway? You want him to look crazier than he already is or what?? » *Jonghak*
« You ain't wrong for once, that's weird- » *Nayun*
« I'm here if you didn't see me- » Jonghak looked at Nayun with exasperation written on his face. She just shrugged him off and went back to reacting causing the latter to sigh in defeat.
I just noticed after reviewing this that I wrote Jonghak ooc and replaced his name by Jaeyoung… A totally different person at that so I fixed the mistakes and I'm sorry if you find him too out of character when reading.
Thus, even if it was more difficult to achieve, devils favored people whose bodies had ample magic power and vigor, yet underdeveloped mental power. Naturally, cadets were the perfect targets.
« Wow… He really thought things through before writing his novel. » *Nayun*
« The details are too much sometimes though. » *Yeonha*
« The details are even more boring than the theory teachers' classes- » *Jonghak*
As such, I felt the need to prepare another weapon. If I encountered a Djinn in my current state, I had no hope of surviving.
« He can admit defeat when he has to. » Jonghak smirked.
« Shall I remind you of when he declared himself defeated and had the upper hand in the duel the whole time?? » Yeonha looked at him with scepticism.
He looked away, « No need to look at me like that- »
« There always is a need when it comes to you. » *Rachel*
Jonghak turned at her in disbelief.
"Hm..."
I sat on my desk and stared at my laptop.
Nayun put her hand on her mouth to muffle a laugh. Yeonha spotted her and didn't understand what was so funny and asked:
« Why are you laughing?? »
Nayun inhaled to end her laugh but it was in vain since she was red afterwards and was holding hard to not start again.
« Because they didn't show us the scene and he said "sat on my desk" I think… » Responded Rachel instead of the concerned person; then, it clicked in Yeonha's mind and she finally understood…
Hope you understood too though 'cause I'm too lazy to write the explanation in a dialogue :D
For now, I planned to add a setting to the Desert Eagle. I had a lot of SP thanks to Chae Nayun's or Shin Jonghak's effort.
They all looked pretty upset at the two while Jonghak and Nayun were trying their best to not make any eye contact with the three others.
[Transformation function added to Desert Eagle. Handgun to 12-gauge shotgun]
—Condition: Requires Stigma's magic power.
« I almost forgot that he had the ability to give himself attributes… » *Yeonha*
« I forgot until now but I still hate him for that. » *Nayun*
« He doesn't have any other way to power up for now and I think anyone in his place would take advantage of the opportunity. » Suho scratched the back of his head after his explication seeming not so sure of his argument.
« I bet it sounded better in your head than when you said it hah- » *Jonghak*
« I'm thinking that Yeonha was right… » *Nayun*
« About what? » *Yeonha*
« Suho's getting overprotective; that's suspicious in my opinion- » *Nayun*
« Does that mean you take me as competition Nayun? »
Asked Suho incrediously but Yeonha discerned a bit of maliciousness in his voice, as if provocative, and the blush on his cheek didn't escape her eyes. Although it looked inexistent compared to the one adorning Nayun's face.
Jonghak seemed indifferent at the scene and shrugged the weirdness off while Rachel couldn't believe her eyes. Was she supposed to be taken as competition too between those four?
Everyone had their suspicious interaction with Hajin in the novel don't get me wrong- Playing like that in the writing is fun and I giggle at the ideas that come with the memories. I'll write different fanfics for each one of these characters! Rachel's on is finished so the next one is Yeonha.
Handgun and shotgun. It didn't take a genius to figure out that a shotgun was much more powerful. Furthermore, the power of a shotgun increased the closer one was to a target.
« What a genius~ » Said sarcastically Yeonha.
« You asked him about monsters' weak point. You have no right to speak here! » *Nayun*
« Well, at least, I don't act like a tsundere in front of him! » *Yeonha*
« GASP! HOW DARE YOU! » *Nayun*
There was no mechanism that magically transformed a handgun into a shotgun, but could such a miraculous technology be achieved with my Setting Intervention?
I swear karma will get you one day! » *Nayun*
« Please, he'll have a breakdown if that ever happens- » *Jonghak*
« You two are underestimating him here. » Rachel glared at them.
They only looked at the side innocently at the gesture.
[Transformation function added to Desert Eagle. Handgun to 12-gauge shotgun]
—Condition: Requires Stigma's magic power.
—Amplifies attack power by a maximum of 100% depending on your distance to the target
[250SP will be used. Would you like to save?]
« Is it considered a lot? » *Nayun*
« From what he said, the answer is probably yes. » *Yeonha*
« Can you give me your analysis capacities for one sec? » Nayun looked at her with sparkly eyes.
« Nah, your brain would overheat- » The sparkles were gone in the blink of an eye and were replaced by a fuming Nayun. Yeonha looked at her playfully when the other was about to attack.
Fortunately for them, Jonghak took Nayun by her arm to prevent her from attacking. She freed herself when she saw who was holding her and kept quiet after that.
Indeed, a miraculous technique had appeared here and now.
« So Hajin can do whatever pleases him as long as he has enough SP to create the attribute he wants to. » *Rachel*
« Indeed and I don't think he'd limit himself to the attributes he has now. The future seems pretty confusing with Hajin in it. » Suho smiled thinking of that.
« That's just him cheating in life tch- » *Nayun*
« You don't need to be constantly hostile towards him Nayun. You can just ignore him instead of insulting him, how about it? » *Suho*
« …Where's the fun in that?? » Jonghak nodded at what Nayun said. It's no fun to ignore him when you can get reactions like that.
The laptop modified what I wrote to be more detailed and told me the cost. 250SP was a reasonable price. Without hesitation, I hit [save].
« How many times did he do that to modify things? » Asked Yeonha.
°You thought I had the motivation to count all that? °
« Then it must be numerous times. » Mumbled Rachel.
In an instant, a metal colored current of air shot out of the laptop and enveloped the Desert Eagle. The gun shined in a grey hue before subsiding. I picked it up and looked around to see whether anything had changed, but the design was the same as before.
« I'm surprised nothing exploded here. » *Yeonha*
« Right? He's messing with everything then he complains about the co-author's changes. » *Jonghak*
« The biggest changes are probably the one he triggered. » *Nayun*
Suho and Rachel looked at them defeated. It seems like those three won't stop their snickering about Hajin in the near future. It promised to be quite the show.
I poured Stigma's magic power into the handgun. Immediately, the handgun began to dismantle itself.
« I want something like that too! » Exclaimed Nayun. It was unusual to find a weapon react like that to the actions of its holder.
Don't you come lecturing me if I'm wrong, I don't remember a thing from the novel concerning that matter so deal with my bad memory 'cause unlike some "people", I have one of a tiny fish-
« Why though? You're not using a gun… » *Suho*
« It's for a sword- » When the words left her mouth, they looked at her surprised. Since when was she replacing her bow…
For my defence, I said after Nayun and Hajin's bet so it's before the girl showed up in the training area with a sword.
Kiriik— With a robotic sound, the magazine split, and the gunstock and gun barrel began to elongate. Soon, the Desert Eagle took on a new form that was no longer that of a handgun.
« I'm not commenting to him boasting about his gun's new function. » *Nayun*
« No need to be like that~ He'll probably get over the boasting one day~ » *Yeonha*
« Then this one day definitely won't be today. » *Jonghak*
Two platinum colored barrels the size of my arm lied in parallel, looking clean and elegant.
"...It'll surprise them for sure."
« Who is he talking about?? » *Nayun*
« Maybe he has someone he wants to meet in mind. » *Suho*
« Or maybe the instructor who sent him a side eye when he picked a gun as his weapon choice. » *Jonghak*
I didn't know much about shotguns, but the Desert Eagle's destructive power had surely gone up with this modification.
« That's authors privileges here! » *Nayun*
°Nah~ Main character privileges~ That's different. °
Click— I opened the magazine, which was empty. To fully load it, I needed .12 inch bullets. I would have to buy the appropriate size bullets or modify the ones I had. This could wait until later.
« He's too serious… I wanna sleep. » *Nayun*
« Like always~ » Yeonha rolled her eyes.
« HEY! What is that supposed to mean?! » *Nayun*
With that, I was done with modifying my weapon, but there were still things to do.
« NAH. He still has something to add when he already adjusted his gun? He's exaggerating- » Jonghak folded his arms.
Creating an Art.
« That's… » *Yeonha*
« Absolutely unfair! Let me have two words with him! » *Nayun*
I had to remove the useless information because why would they react to a dictionary definition??
Parkour. 'Positioning' was the most important factor determining the life or death of a sharpshooter. Naturally, parkour was the perfect skill for any sharpshooter.
« Is he going to choose something that have a relation with that? » *Nayun*
« I think so. He proved himself quite a few times. » *Suho*
« He's just a show-off. » *Jonghak*
My laptop kindly modified my vague sentences.
« Was his laptop supposed to be mean to precise that it "kindly" modifies?? » *Nayun*
« Never say that again… Please… » *Yeonha*

« We're born with that and we gain these by achieving stuff while the only thing he has to do is to is write his demand and pay with points he gained by bringing attention to himself… » *Nayun*
« Hajin's situation in a nutshell. » *Jonghak*
« You already made it clear that you didn't like these facts about him- Wait, you made it even clearer that you hated it him in short. » *Yeonha*
[350SP will be used. Would you like to save?]
I would have shuddered at the cost if it wasn't for recent events. Now, my SP was going up by 2 every hour even without doing anything. I pressed [save] without hesitation and got up.
« Thanks to someone's doings. » Said Rachel glancing at Jonghak. He ignored the glare.
Now that I made new changes, it was time to test them.
**
Tiriring— Tiriring—
« We didn't need the written version when we can just hear the alarm ring… » *Yeonha*
« We gotta have the fancy addition since this chapter is more boring than Hajin's previous life. » *Jonghak*
« Will you stop bullying him even when he's not here? » Suho looked upset at him but it clearly didn't faze the other boy.
« …I don't gain anything from doing that except boredom. » *Jonghak*
I opened my eyes at the sound of the alarm. My entire body ached. I more or less expected it after I rode walls and trees until 4 A.M, but I was having too much fun to stop.
« He actually knows how to have fun… Who could have known hah? » *Yeonha*
« He has fun but he doesn't show it- » Retorted Nayun.
« I wonder why but I have a hunch on what it could be. » *Suho*
« Don't play smart- It's not because you interacted with him more than us that you know more- » *Jonghak*
« I'm just more observant instead of making his life harder. » Suho frowned slightly.
Rachel saw the flying thunder between them. A dispute might break out but it'd worse than the ones they had to deal with Nayun and Yeonha.
°Fighting is prohibited here so you all shut up- °
"Argh, my joints..."
« He's dumb for spending so much time to test his ability. » *Nayun*
« You'd have done worse so don't complain about him. » *Yeonha*
Nayun glared at Yeonha who shot her a grin before turning back to her previous occupation which is to ignore the ball of anger she creates with her words.
I climbed walls using the tiniest cracks and leaped up trees using the smallest protrusions. Every time I landed, excitement coursed through my veins and my body experienced a runner's high. Furthermore, looking down from a lofty height gave me a refreshing sense of ecstasy.
« He sure enjoys himself… » *Jonghak*
« You can definitely say that- » *Rachel*
« You two- » Said Nayun pointing her fingers to Rachel and Jonghak, « -should stop agreeing with each other. It feels incredibly weird… »
They looked at her like she grew another head. Were they agreeing with each other that often?
If the answer is yes, then they absolutely have to change that and quickly.
What a weird combination…
"...God damn it."
I had to go to class now. Combat training would begin again starting from today. Since midterms were coming up and Djinns would start to get active, the combat training was likely to be hell.
« Is he aware that he's the only thinking that way? » *Nayun*
« Leave him in his delusion~ He's suffering too much to care about fuel things like that~ » *Yeonha*
« And now you're pitying him? » Jonghak raised an eyebrow.
« I can remember you saying how much of a burden he was for your team~ » *Nayun*
« You're not in the best place to criticize. » *Suho*
« You also thought he was arrogant! » *Nayun*
« Don't drag me in your dispute- » Suho sighed.
[This message is for all cadets ㅜㅜ . Has anyone seen Seungyeon from World class? I haven't been able to contact her since yesterday ㅜㅜ ]
Silence fell in the room. Was it already time for it to start?
It wasn't the best memory they could have re-watched. Yeonha froze on the spot. She can still remember how pathetic she felt when the djinn kidnapped her. She had to text Hajin to save her and she's everything but glad from doing that.
She's not the time to want owing favours so when Hajin showed up and saved her nonetheless, she felt like she had to do something to not feel like a burden at the time.
Maybe he would consider her as a worthy ally when she proves him how useful she can be to him and how good it'd be to have him on her side.
Still, the atmosphere turned awfully gloom after the message showed up on the screen.
Looking at my smartwatch, I could tell that a second victim had appeared.
There wasn't anything I could do about the Djinn.
« Really? Or is it because of the plot's sake? » Asked Nayun suspiciously.
°If you don't like this kind of sacrifice, you're not ready to know what Hajin did- °
« Stop giving us heads up and never elaborate on the subject! You're just making us more impatient than we should be! » *Nayun*
°It was the point but anyway- °
« Will you all shut up? My ears are bleeding because of her shouting- » *Jonghak*
« Say that again! I dare you! » *Nayun*
Of course, I knew the identity of the Djinn and his next victim. But if I exposed him (though how I would do that was another question), I was afraid the story would become too distorted.
« So it was for the plot's sake… » Said Rachel with a sad smile.
« Don't worry. I think that if he had another option, he would want to erase that scene. » *Suho*
« I hope too but I don't know how to feel about it… » *Rachel*
Yeonha and Suho looked at Rachel with a comprehensive look. Even though they learned a lot about Hajin, the boy had more to hide and remain a mysterious person.
They wanted to discover more but for the information to be provided, time was needed as money of exchange.
"...Huu."
I sighed. Just because his victims were fated to die, it didn't make me feel any less guilty when I was leaving them be. I didn't see what was happening in this world as just another page in a novel.
They didn't think of him as a bad person since they understood his past position as a author but they felt defeated knowing that could have been prevented from happening if it wasn't for their world to originally be a novel.
The co-author could have done something but if he was a normal human and thought like Hajin, it was hopeless and needless to say that there was no way he could think otherwise for the plot to unfold.
"...Why can't Yoo Yeonha just be kidnapped first?"
Even with the gloomy atmosphere, Yeonha looked offended at the screen. Was he serious right now?
He has the talent to turn any emotional scene in a disbelieving one.
« That's offensive but I have to say that it would have been better I guess. » *Yeonha*
Suho glanced at her with a knowing smile and she returned the gesture after some time.
Through this arc, Kim Suho and Yoo Yeonha would come to form a meaningful relationship. Yoo Yeonha would be influenced by Kim Suho, becoming less temperamental, and Kim Suho would obtain the connection known as Yoo Yeonha.
« So it can't be avoided- » *Nayun*
« Then why was he the one coming and not Suho?? » *Yeonha*
« Maybe something changed and prevented me from intervening. » *Suho*
« It's highly possible… » *Rachel*
But there would be four more victims until Yoo Yeonha is kidnapped.
At the last line of Hajin's thoughts, the silence fell again in the room. Suho looked at the screen sadly just like Rachel, Nayun and Yeonha pursed her lips, and Jonghak frowned. Was there no way for them to prevent tragic events like that in the future?
