I was just coming in a rush after the distressed call from Mum when I opened the door, my eyes widened at the sight before me.
"You!" he gasped as soon as he met my gaze.
A hot tremor slid down my spine, and the sharp scent of antiseptic filled my nose, as I glared deep into those eyes that stared back at me.
My jaw tensed, fists clenching, eyes blazing with fury at the sight of him. It felt like my heart would pull out.
I had never expected Alex anywhere close to me, nor did I ever want him around.
What the heck was he doing here? Same place as Mum and Sonia?
I rolled my eyes, settling them on Mum as I demanded answers.
Her arms slowly reached for her cheeks as she dried the tears from them, narrowing her gaze between us.
