Selene~
It took Cassidy less than fifteen minutes to arrive.
The knock on my door was frantic, it sounded desperate, just like I did when I made the call. I was still curled up on the floor, sobbing quietly.
"Selene? Are you there?" Cassidy's voice was calm but I could hear the urgency in it.
I couldn't move. I wanted to talk but my throat was sore from all the crying. All I could do was continue to cry and hope that she wouldn't leave.
After a moment of silence, the door burst open and Cassidy hurried in, and searched the room for me. She saw me all curled up on the floor beside my bed and without hesitation, she ran over to my side and held me like a baby.
"Oh my God, Selene. What happened?" she said frantically.
I broke down all over again in her arms and I buried myself in her shoulder. I was already ruining her shirt with my tears.
She led me gently to the bed, while patting me on my back. It was only when the tears started to slow down that she talked.
