Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5

Upon Kanaya's return to the big house called the mansion, it attracted the attention of the servants. They flocked to express their gratitude for The Young Lady's awareness.

Kalina was flustered and didn't know how to act. As a result, she just laughed awkwardly, while saying thank you.

Kalina had only been living as Kanaya for a day, and the awkwardness was increasingly felt. Where every morning she was greeted by five maids surrounding the bed.

She was shocked and almost screamed hysterically if she didn't hold back. This was the first experience that Kalina would never forget, where she was treated like a princess.

"We are very happy that Young Lady is back home. We all miss Young Lady very much," said one of the servants smiling happily.

"Young Lady is awake and looks healthy again now. We will serve you again with all our hearts."

"For that, we hope that Young Lady will not experience any more accidents in the future."

"We are delighted and grateful that Young Lady can return home in good condition."

"Thank God, Young Lady."

One by one, the five women expressed their gratitude for Kanaya's return home.

Kalina who was in her body again just smiled awkwardly while looking at them in turn. She realized that the joyful welcome was not for her, a feeling of guilt and confusion enveloped her.

"A~ah, yes, thank you. Sorry, but I don't know who you are," replied Kalina without feeling guilty.

The five women looked at each other, Arum had just told them that the young stain had lost its memory permanently.

Sadness crept in, but they couldn't do anything. The five thought maybe the old lady was joking, but when they found out directly now, they regretted it.

"It's okay, Young Lady. We will remind you again," replied the owner of the dimples standing near Kalina.

"Ah, yeah," she was nervous.

"How can it be, no matter how hard you want to help me recover my memory... if this life is not mine, how can it be," she shouted hysterically in her mind.

"Okay then, Young Lady, now you have to take a shower," said one of them again.

"W-what shower? W-what do you mean?" Kalina felt an unpleasant feeling.

"Yes, take a shower, as usual, we will serve you," replied the others.

Hearing the explanation just now, Kalina was wide-eyed. The word serve made her very scared, this was also the first time she had to take a shower with five other women.

"No! You can't do that to me. No!" she shouted in refusal.

"No Young Lady, this is our job. Now Young Lady must go to the bathroom."

They worked together to force Kalina out of bed. She fought back many times, but five against one, she still lost.

"NO!" she shouted again louder breaking the silence of the hill and had no choice but to be bathed by the servants.

***

"What are they doing? Don't they know? I'm so embarrassed to be bathed like a baby. I have to tell Mrs. Arum so that the rule must be abolished," Kalina grumbled, leaving the room and walking along the outer corridor on the first floor.

She was wearing a light brown dress, like a princess. Her hair was long and loose, some of it tied with a ribbon that matched her clothes.

Her beautiful, white, and shiny face, like porcelain decorated with reddish tinges. She looked up to see the bright blue sky.

"I can't believe that in this part of the world, there is a life like a fairy tale. Have I been spread out in a fairy tale land? Far from the world of technology, it's also fun." Kalina laughed at her chatter, "don't joke, Kalina," she continued.

As she watched the guan she was wearing as she continued to walk along the long corridor, from the front, a tall, sturdy man was walking.

So busy with her world, Kalina didn't realize that the figure was right in front of her.

"Good morning, Young Lady. Glad to see you're back." Kalina was shocked, stumbling backwards a little if she hadn't kept her balance, she might have fallen.

Her eyes looked at the sturdy man right in front of her. Her eyebrows were knitted together, scanning from head to toe.

The figure put one hand in front of his chest while bowing, his attitude was like a knight meeting a princess.

"Where did this prince come from? It's really like a fairy tale world," Kalina screamed, thinking to herself again.

"Wh-who are you?" she nervously wanted to know.

A second later the man raised his head, looking at Kalina. As if time had stopped, a strange feeling suddenly drifted into the depths of her heart.

Kalina was stiff, witnessing how beautiful this creation of God was. Her tongue was suddenly numb, unable to say a word.

"Yes, the prince is real," she thought again, amazed at the figure in front of her eyes.

"Young Lady? Are you okay?" asked the strange man, waving his hand right in front of Kalina's face.

The woman woke up from her reverie, shook her head briefly, and smiled awkwardly. It felt so peaceful when she looked at this man who didn't know her identity.

"Ah, yes, I'm fine. I-"

"Young Lady, don't be shy with me. I've heard about Young Lady condition... I'm happy and grateful that Young Lady can still be allowed to return to this house. I will try to help Young Lady this time. I also regret making Young Lady experience everything alone," said the man, full of regret.

Again, Kalina digested every word that came out of that thin mouth. There was an implied meaning in it, she understood that something big had happened to this woman named Kanaya.

There was no way Kanaya was fine, her physical condition, and the words given by the man in front of her gave little answer.

"Then I'll excuse myself, I hope Young Lady is always well and healthy."

The man lowered his head briefly and then stepped away from Kalina, just passing her, making her realize.

Kalina turned around, then said, "Tell me, who are you?"

The man stopped walking, turned back with a warm smile, then answered, "I am Adrian, the caretaker of this house."

After saying that, the man named Adrian continued walking. Kalina was fixated on him who radiated warmth.

"Somehow, his presence feels more valuable in Kanaya's heart, compared to Zaki who is her husband."

"What's going on? Do I have to find out what happened to Kanaya and also... this house?" said Kalina looking for a connecting thread regarding the life of the woman named Kanaya whose body had been taken over by her.

"I have to find out," she continued and continued walking.

As said a few moments ago, Kalina was currently wandering around the mansion. She began to explore the field behind the building.

She found an archery and horse riding arena. Kalina could imagine the life of a Kanaya just before she ended up in the hospital.

It was proven by a trainer who was checking the condition of the horses there saying he was grateful to see Kanaya return home.

Not only that, Kalina also saw an archery named Kanaya measuring by her side.

"Maybe this woman used to be an archer? Didn't Zaki also say they first met at an archery competition?"

"Wow! I didn't expect Kanaya to be a talented woman," she joked, standing still on the dirt field watching the target in front of him.
