"Hey mum."Liam greeted his mother, Allison while hugging her. "Where's dad?"
"His on his way. How are you doing and how is work?"
"I'm good, as you can see. And work is fine."
"Have you been eating well? You look stressed, like you haven't been taking care of yourself properly"Allison said looking worried.
"Mum, please don't start. Of course l'm stressed. These past few days have been kind of busy for me. So l hardly get enough rest."
"And what is your secretary doing?"
"She's doing a good job though. If not for her, maybe it would have been worse."
"You see why...."
"I said you should get a wife" Liam completed. "Mum getting married is the least of my problems. I'm still focusing on my company."
"And who says you can't focus on your company when your married?" Gabriel, Liam's dad interjected.
"Hi dad".
"Hey. You haven't answered my question."
"I'm not ready to settle down dad. I will eventually but not now, at least not yet."
"You better start planning on getting married or you will stop handling the company."
"No, you can't possibly be serious. Mom! are you also in support of this?"
"Liam we know what's best for you. The better you get a wife and start planning a family and get an heir who will run the business after you the better for you." Allison explained.
"Oh so that's what this is all about... an heir. So what about me? What about my plans, my feelings, doesn't it matter? You talk like l'm going to die soon. For crying out loud, l'm the reason this company is flourishing." Liam said frustratingly
"And l hope to keep it that way. You've got two months Liam." Gabriel continued.
"And if l'm not able to meet your criteria what happens then?"
"You stop handling the business. Your sister can take over".
"You've got to be kidding me." Liam said. "Mea hasn't even finished school." he continued.
"She will be trained besides she already knows the basic things. Just do what you have to do and the company remains yours." Gabriel said walking away.
