"Good morning" Tiffany greeted as she entered the elevator. The man in the elevator looked familiar but she couldn't remember where she had seen him.
"Good morning to you too"Leo answered looking at her. "Your early today"
"Yeah. I have some things to round up that l wasn't able to round up yesterday. Do you work here? You kind of.. look familiar." Tiffany said,slightly squinting her eyes.
"Yeah. We've met before. But seems you were in a hurry cause you didn't even give me a glance."
"Oh that's true. You were the man in my boss's office."
"Exactly. I'm Leo, Liam's best friend and the only one who can take his excesses.
"And me"Tiffany wanted to say, instead she said,
"Oh. Nice to meet you"
"Same here" Leo said before entering Liam's office.
Liam's Pov
Yes he had seen them. Seen the way she was smiling and being very polite to Leo when all she wanted to do to him was maybe, strangle him. She was always edgy around him and yet, here she was being very friendly with someone she barely know. It's enough Liam. She can befriend anyone she chooses but...Leo. That chronic play boy. Hell no. Why did he care anyways? Maybe because it's his company. It would be preferable if they took their friendship outside the walls of his company.
"Mmmm" Leo cleared his throat. I hope l'm not interrupting your thoughts".
"How do you know l was thinking?" Liam asked looking annoyed.
"Cause l've been here for the past five seconds and you didn't seem to notice me".
"When have l ever noticed you?"
"Ouch that's hurt. Anyways to save you the stress of thinking. I was asking her for her number."Leo said grinning.
"And did she give you?"
"Why do you care?. It's none of your business."
"Oh. It is my business considering the fact that she's my employee. So... answer the goddamn question."
"Like l said... it's none of your business. If your so keen on knowing, you can ask her yourself. Besides your her boss. She would tell you anything."Leo said trying to hold back a smile.
"Stop playing games with me".
"Why would l do that. You're no fun. Anyways l think l like her. She's soft-spoken and respectful. I met her this morning in the elevator and the way she regarded you... like you were there with her. I expected her to refer to you by your name but she didn't"
"Hmmm. She's very good and professional, one of the reasons l hired her. So... I know you didn't come here to talk about her. What are you doing here?"
"I came to see you."
"Don't give me that bullishit. You have a company of your own. You should be at your desk, working, not coming here to cause nuisance. So... I ask again what are you doing here?"
"Okay fine. You got me. But why would you say l'm causing nuisance. You better try to be nicer to me. I might be your life saver one day. I came here to tell you, that you and l will be going to a club this evening. It's been a while."
"Forget it. I'm not going". Liam said going back to the file he was looking at earlier.
"Why?" Leo asked
"As you can see, l'm busy."
"Nothing will happen to you or the company if you put your work on hold for a night. You are going with me to the club and that's final. Be ready by 9pm. I will come pick you up."Leo said standing and leaving the office
"How did l end up with someone like him"
"Heard that" Leo said while closing the door.
