Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

You know… getting reincarnated is something new.

I, Gabriel, am reincarnated on another Earth. However, unlike the Earth in my previous life, this Earth is very different from my previous one.

What's the difference? This one is more of an urban fantasy world. It is still a modern world, but many of the techs from my previous world do not appear in this world. Among them? Military stuff, and there is a reason for that.

I look down and see the symbol on the palm of my hand.

This? This is a symbol of an 'Awakener'. What's that? It is an individual chosen by the 'system'. And what's that? It is an unknown entity that grants a 'Micro World' to an awakener. Before you say something, a Micro World is a world inside an Awakener's soul.

This world is the reason why there is a massive difference between this Earth and the one in my previous world. You can take resources from your Micro World. While you can take precious things like oil or gold, they are not the most important things in a Micro World.

The most important thing is called [Resource Crystal]. This thing produces energy that nothing on this planet can compare to. Not only does it produce a massive energy output, but it is also green energy. That means this planet produces less pollution than my previous world.

These crystals make all the technology in this world change. Now, it is all powered by these crystals, and this is also the reason why the military stuff in this world is very different from my previous life. Instead of using black powder and such, they use these crystals to create a spell to attack enemies.

Even with all the destruction that these crystals can produce, there is surprisingly no massive war happening in this world. There is no World War happening. There is a smaller war, but nothing too big that makes a million people die or anything.

Surprisingly, there is a reason for that.

Any awakener has a powerful body; even I, a newly awakened one, already have a stronger body than average people. The reason? Worshipper.

An awakener is considered a God in their Micro World. The more worshippers there are, the more powerful you become. There are two ways to increase your worshippers. The first one is through time.

The population of your world will increase over time. However, there is another way, the faster way. It is through a war between awakeners. It is not really a war, but rather a war between two or more micro worlds.

The winner of this war can take one of the loser's micro worlds. Yeah. Micro World can consist of multiple planets, and the more planets you own, the more population that can worship you.

In fact, the system creates a tournament where all the awakeners can participate. This tournament can be seen across the world and has become one of the most entertaining things you can watch.

It is basically a war between races. Sometimes it is a war between thousands of participants, and sometimes it is a war between two solar systems. It is a war with billions of people participating in it.

Anyway, the winner of the tournament will be given a reward ranging from a new world to an upgrade.

However, I need to awaken my Micro World to join this tournament. There are a few ways to do it. The first is the old-fashioned way of going through hard training, and the other is to visit the Awakening Stone scattered around the world.

It is a gift from the System, and anyone who prevents the awakener from using it will be punished. The biggest punishment is the eradication of an entire nation. The massive hole still exists to this day.

Anyway, there is one near my house. It takes me a few minutes to walk there and when I arrive, I can see a ten-meter-tall smooth pillar in front of me. The guards around the stone stop me and say.

"Halt! Only an awakener can get near the stone. Show me the mark and you can enter."

Without hesitation, I show him the mark and see him nod his head.

"Go ahead, and good luck."

You might think it is easy to get off guard, right? Well, it is because only the awakener can touch the stone. Anyone who paints their palm with the Awakener symbol will die when they touch the stone. The guards are here to make sure no one is stupid enough to do it and throw away the corpse when a faker decides to touch the stone.

I touch the pillar and watch it glow. I smile a little when I see the system appear in front of me.

[Congratulations on your awakening! Randomazing talent…]

Each awakener can awaken their talent, a secondary power that will help them manage their Micro World. If Micro World is like a turn-based strategy game, talent is your trait. Each faction has its traits that will help you, right? Well, talent is like that.

[Congratulations! You get {Universal Mods}!]

What? I press the new talent and open the description of the talent.

{Universal Mods}

|You have mods installed in your Micro World. There are five mods currently installed, and you can add more!|

[Installed Mods:]

(1. 1 Turn Research)

(2. 1 Turn Construction)

(3. 1 Turn Recruitment)

(4. Happy Citizen)

(5. Insane Production)

I widen my eyes at the power in my hand. All of them are powerful. The first mod lets my civilization research any tech I want. Each Micro World will get a tech tree that they can research. However, that tech tree is not the only thing you can research. You can reverse engineer any tech you stole from the world you are at war with. With this, the research will be very fast.

The second mod has the same core function as the first one. However, instead of research, this one is for construction. As long as I have the material, I can build anything I want in a matter of days instead of weeks; the other awakener needs to wait.

The third one is also the same, but this is for recruitment. I can build an army in a day instead of days or weeks like the others. As long as I have the population and material to build them, I can have an endless army at my disposal.

The fourth one is a simple but powerful mod. It ensures my citizens have at least 70% happiness unless something extreme happens. That means my people will never rebel against me. Yeah. The people in Micro World can rebel against their God if their God is inept in world-building or cruel toward them. If they rebel, the awakener will lose worshippers, and now they need to fight against an enemy inside their Micro World. With this mod, I don't need to worry about them rebelling unless I starve them to death.

The last one is the one that makes sure no one will rebel. Because of the Fourth Mod, only starvation can make my worshipper rebel. However, with this mod, that option is gone. It boosts all production output by 5000% and production speed by 500%. Yeah. That is insane. That means I don't need to worry about material because harvesting material is also considered production.

With this, I can rush the tech tree and become a high-tech civilization.

[Congratulations on awakening your talent! Now, choose your civilization!]

[Human] [Orc] [Agur]

If not for the talent I receive, I would immediately pick the Orc. They are the most popular race among the awakeners. They are strong, resilient, and fast. They are also loyal, making handling them easier. They also race who can use magic in the form of shamanism, where their shaman can attack using elemental, enchant their troops, and heal them as well.

The only downside to this race is their appetite. They eat a lot and need a lot of food production buildings. Not only that, but they also have one of the lowest tech trees. They require external help to create something.

Orc is the perfect race for beginners. If I am playing an RTS game, it is a race where you need to build all kinds of things early in the game and rush the opponent. They are strong early to mid-game but weak in the late game.

Agur is a humanoid rat. They are the race with the lowest tech, but their number makes them 'good'. They are the race that reproduces by the hundreds from each female. They eat a lot, but they eat anything organic. Their unique stomach lets them eat even toxic things and be fine with it. They are also masters of curses. They can give debuffs to the enemy's armies and make all their spells not work. They are quite loyal if you make sure they have something to eat. Lastly, they are also the fastest army training among other races.

The downside? They will immediately rebel if their happiness falls below 40%. They are the only race that does that. As I said earlier, they are the lowest tech race. That means they are good in the early game but bad in the mid to late game. Also, most of the techs plundered from other Micro Worlds will not work with Agur.

Lastly… The humans. They are just below the Agur in terms of reproduction. That means there will be many of them in a short time. Humans are also the race that has the biggest and most complicated tech tree. The default tech tree is so big that it requires a lot of resources and time to complete. To expand this even more, humans are also the only race that can take almost anything the other race builds. They can use other race tech trees without a problem.

The downside… There are a lot of them. The first one is food. Because of their number, they require a lot of food. The second one is loyalty. While they will not rebel immediately after reaching a certain number, they will infect the other humans to rebel with them. When they gather enough members, you will have an explosive rebellion. The third downside is their squishy build. They might not be the weakest ones, but they are among the lowest. Humans cannot survive in a certain world; they can easily get sick, and they do not have any resistance to any magical effects. The last one is that their early tech does not produce a lot of resources, making it harder for them to build from the ground up.

I look at the options in front of me and think. After a few seconds, I decided to choose humans. Don't get me wrong, I want to pick Orcs, but humans are my best choice. It has the biggest tech tree for my research mod, a big population for my army, and a construction mod. The mods also offset the other downsides, making this race perfect for me.

I press the human, and I can feel something click inside my soul. Now, I know how to enter my Micro World and build everything from the system.

[Congratulations! You are now the Lord of the World. Make your world prosper and become the Ultimate Lord.]

I nod and turn around. However, to my surprise, I can see someone standing behind me, smiling.

"Good afternoon, sir. We are the Indonesian Awakener Organization. Do you want to register as an Indonesian Awakener?"
