Liam's jaw clenched as he stared at me, disbelief written all over his face.
"You're lying," he spat. "There's no way you completed this project."
I met his gaze steadily. "And yet, here we are."
His eyes narrowed as the rest of my team filed into the room. Miles and Mason exchanged confused glances, sensing the tension immediately.
"Everything okay here?" Miles asked, setting his coffee down.
"Ms. Johnson claims she's completed the energy conversion project," Liam announced, his voice dripping with skepticism. "The same project that's stumped our top engineers for months."
I leaned back in my chair. "I believe you made me a promise, Liam. You said if I completed this project, you'd leave me alone. Remember?"
His face flushed with anger. "That was before I knew you'd resort to tricks and lies."
"No tricks. Just solutions." I turned to my team. "I've emailed everyone my completed work. You can verify it yourselves."
