Cherreads

Chapter 23 - The mental part of training.

Walking inside she saw the biggest collection of books into one place in her town.

The library was finely decorated and small coffee shops worked inside of it for however wanted to be extra comfortable. She went to the entrance counter where a young very pretty lady was smiling and helping customers. She waited for her turn and after some time she gave her monthly entrance card and asked to be left alone. Acquiring such a card at least for her wasn't easy, asking her mother seemed like a good idea, but unfortunately it backfired and she told her father. Unlike her mother he knew exactly where that library was and obviously rejected her pleas to get the card. Thankfully unlike her parents Dr Zery knows but doesn't care enough and she signed in for her mother's sted after all everyone knows her father but her mother is just one more errand helper.

Walking to the school section of the library she quickly went through the hallways filled with books and without hesitation picked five old looking books from their shelves.

Sitting at a comfy table not far from there she started reading.

*What are you doing alone wasting your time away shouldn't you be fighting to save the world.*

She kept reading unshakable.

*You promised to fight to your last breath to repay the sins of your wish. Its your fault Your fault everything would be better if you simply disappeared.*

The topic she started reading today was about which medical herbs grow in the winter and where to find them. Because of the elements being able to heal injuries much faster and thoroughly many of the herbs she was reading about became useless but she couldn't use any element and even if she did no knowledge was wasted.

*Why must you be alive when I am sitting in the grave a malfunction unable to use a single element while i had a bright future awaiting me.*

Eventually like always she started losing focus getting sleepy and bored reading about plants that she knew will never get the opportunity to even see or try out. It was a different matter to read something interesting or new but reading the same thing over and over trying to learn it was a different matter. Her brain in its laziness tried to distract her so she stopped reading for the fifth time about the three plants she found about

*Please someone save me Help!! Help. You why You are sitting here come and kill this thing you useless piece of garbage.*

Eventually she closed it and unfolded a piece of paper inside of it. It was a worn out paper with her writing on it asking questions about what she just read. Taking a paper from the table she started trying to answer. It didn't went well like always reading theory and answering practical questions were different things. She copied the questions for other books inside the library and slowly tried to unravel them. Theoretically she could answer them and if she really wanted the awnser the books had it ready for her, but because they were school books the answers were short and usually touched very briefly what the question truly asked.

She didn't need the answer itself she needed to acquire the underlying understanding of how to consistently reach the answer without the need to look it through a book.

Sigh so i don't have enough knowledge on the actual important pieces of the leaf to actually construct a theory. Well that can be solved easily let's read more about it.

Lippia javanica also known by the common names of lemon bush or koorsbossie, like what are even these names, Lippia javanica is another eye-catching garden shrub. It has strong lemon-scented leaves and dense creamy-white flowers from summer to autumn. Do you think a lemon will save you?

It is quite a fast grower and does best in the sun. Huh good luck finding the sun now. The Lemon bush tolerates most soil types and is regarded as a pioneer plant that spreads easily in disturbed areas. Plants are hardy, can grow under difficult circumstances, and need very little attention. *At least it's not completely useless unlike you.*

To use it a weak infusion of the leaves is drunk as a tea substitute, *just make sure no one dies from the tea itself the last time your useless ass made tea the patient almost choked to death*. While a stronger infusion is used for coughs, colds and bronchial problems. Sigh this is the problem what is a weak and a strong infusion i tried to search the exact metrics to no results. It is used with Artemisia afra to help the body heal lung infections. Great another plant i don't exactly remember even though i read about it two days ago.

She kept jumping from book to book from plant to plant while also trying to focus to actually remember or understand them.

If someone was close to the place she was reading they would occasionally hear a head getting banged to the table, some very angry or desperate mumblings and her screaming under her breath THIS DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE.

Eventually time passed and once again she felt like she didn't achieve anything. Looking to the now dark sky she said crying.

What is even the point of me reading about that stuff since i'm not going to remember them anyway.

*Yes give up and do something useful for once you little insect what do you think of going to help your poor father before he dies to like the rest*

Calling the taxi and going to the building she started walking the road back home.

After effortlessly jumping the small 10 feet that separated the two buildings she looked down below where cars and other vehicles runned about. This was by far the most dangerous and lethal jump she had to constantly make, the buildings were 2 meters apart but the one she was in now was taller not shorter meaning she had to dive jump but most importantly than all this side had no balconies so failure means she death.

Looking down below she started getting cold feet, her primal instincts screaming danger.

*What are you afraid about even if you fail no one will care another death to the pile that all*

But this time unlike any other she embraced the voices instead of ignoring them.

* Yea jumping to your death is not the most noble think but what can someone expect from a insect like you*

Her face turned to anger, stomping her foot into the ground.

* You don't have any choice is either that or you giving up running to your mommy's feet like a toddler.*

* An insect toddler huh that's the funniest thing i ever heard about you know what give up i want so see how such existence goes about living.*

She took a deep breath letting her thoughts run about and walked to the far edge of the other side. Then just before her thoughts started consuming her she started running trying to push all pointless thoughts aside.

*You are going to die finally i can take revenge on the dirty little insect for stealing my life away.*

With a ferocious leap she soared through the air feeling the currents slash her body while she dived to the building she felt exasperated for a moment but it quickly got snuffed out by fear that's because she was diving head first to the wall.

I'm going to die.
