After arriving in their dorm room at the academy, Nicolas sobbed in their bed, unaware about their future. Eventually, a soft knock came from the door. "Go away.." They tearfully mumbled, "I know you believe I'm a monster Sabian, I don't need you to remind me.." But the door opened anyway, and they were wrong, it was not Sabian, it was Kiona. "I don't think that.." She told them. Nicolas sat up and wiped their tears. "Oh, sorry.." They said. "It's okay.." Kiona assured, now sitting besides them on the bed. "So.. what DID happen? How did it happen?" She asked. They sighed, standing up now, asking, "You really want me to tell you?" "Yes.. I want to know everything, if that's alright.." Kiona told them. Nicolas took a deep breath and showed their true form to them once again. "This is me.. I wasn't kidding about me being the Goddess of Zodiac Signs, my real name is Noxalyn, I come from a mystical planet of Gods, known as Selunis, it's located behind your moon, I was meant to rule the stars since my parents were the Gods of the Sun and Moon, but then, when I was 10, a foreign evil known as Darklings from a different planet called Umbrusi attacked Selunis, and they were led by Queen Eris, they corrupted my home, and to keep me safe from Eris, because she wanted my soul, my parents sent me here, Lystera, but before they did, they cast a protection spell on me to change my identity, hence why I wear the mask of Nicolas. The King and Queen of Lystera then reluctantly adopted me because they needed an heir to the throne since they can't have children, I have been living as Prince Nicolas for 8 years, and it honestly really hurts when I'm human, my body is constantly itchy and hot which makes me feel uncomfortable, but I learned that when I'm my real form, the burning just dies. I didn't even know I could change back.. until now.." They explained. "Wow.." Kiona whispered. "Now do you think.. I'm a monster??" Noxalyn asked. "No, I never will." She told them, "I promise.." The Goddess shifted back into Nicolas and said, "Thank you.. You have no idea how much that means. Kiona smiled at them when they sat back next to her. "How does it hurt you.. Exactly?" She asked. They hesitated. "It feels like.. When I'm human, it's like wearing a huge, tight winter jacket, one where the zipper is broken and I can't take it off, so it makes it extremely hot in my body, but then, when I change, when I become me, when I become Noxalyn again, I find a way to remove it somehow, and then I feel loose, cool.. free.." Nicolas told her. "That sounds very difficult.." Kiona mumbled. Nicolas nodded in agreement. "I'm glad you felt you could trust me with this.." She said. "I feel accepted by you.. That's why.." They admitted. Kiona laughed, then she left. Nicolas smirked to themselves and wrote in their journal, "Maybe now I'm not as lonely after all.." TO BE CONTINUED..
